It’s funny that Zach had a full-body scan, recommended it to Donald as a hypochondriac, and Scrubs had a whole plot line about full-body scans and milking hypochondriacs for money.

Now if he hasn't done so already Brett must have y'all on films to be buried with. It's a damn good podcast that I totally thought was dead but turns out I am wrong and seems like it would be right up both Donald and Zachs alleys.

Such a Zach fan. Garden State is in my top 3 (behind Everything, Everywhere, All at Once and Eternal Sunshine). Everything Zach does speaks to me. Incredible artist. Go 'Cats!

There was a Japanese reality show that was far crueler than the Truman Show. They had someone get naked and put them in a room for around a year (there's a Hulu documentary called The Contestant which documents what happened in the original Japanese show). They would have him make recordings like Ronald which he thought were private, and then show it on national TV. They would have him try to enter contests. Like many reality shows, they found it amusing to be cruel to this man. Had it been an American, he probably would have killed someone. At some point, they let him go, take him on a vacation, which he enjoys for about a week, then put him in the same kind of enclosed room and keep him there for another few months. The guy who made the show just said it was entertainment and had zero remorse putting this guy through hell. I was absolutely furious listening to it, but it goes to show how cultural differences allowed this man to stay humiliated for so long and perhaps how cruel the Japanese audiences are enjoying in the suffering and humiliation of others. At least, Jury Duty, despite having some superficial similarities never made Ronald the butt of the show.

I watched Inside Out before kids and it was fine. I rewatched with my kids and was blown away. I cry every time at the end. The emotional intelligence involved in making “The Feelings Movie” - the name my kids gave Inside out 1 and 2… is breathtaking. The conversations that have taken place bc of these movies help me as a mother. I am thankful for yr beautiful representation of emotional intelligence. ❤

Amazing episode and one of my favorites now. It's long been my stance that this podcast's greatest selling point is Zach and Donald's friendship. I loved the scrubs rewatch aspect but I was always having the best time when hearing Zach and Donald talk about their friendship and the things that they get up to together. The guests have been a really great move as well post-scrubs content
