I got tired of changing 4 dozen AAs in our Duettes, went with the rechargeable upgrade. Not looking back.

Super useful! But what if I want the blinds to come up at sunrise AND at sunset? In between, I have the blinds go down when the sun shines in at 4 PM... so I would like them to open at sunset. And close then at 1 AM. Any help appreciated!

I've had these in high locations in two new houses. I do not understand why, during construction, power couldn't be supplied from the house's AC power. It would seem to me that the major reason for having motorized blinds is an inconvenient location for operation. Doesn't that make the need to replace batteries a bad idea also?

Blindside, can you be more specific? Are you referring to the vertiglide by HD or are you trying to put a regular duette on a sliding glass door?

Thanks, It is nice to be able to "reload" your batteries in your 09' and newer HD Duette Skylights instead of having to wait on a new battery. Much more consumer friendly. As far as I have heard they are sticking with Alkaline for standard shades for now but I guess we will all see! Hello from KC.
