Just finished The Waiting! As usual, it did not disappoint. A great read. I've read them all. Keep them coming, Mr. C.!

Connelly is such a great writer but this series did not impress us in the least. For one thing too much of this "Lorna" character who, frankly comes across as just plain annoying and obnoxious. The actress (Becki Newton) must be a relative of someone on the Lincoln Lawyer staff; either the producer, director or script writer because either 'she' or the character she's playing is obnoxious. Way too much of her in the season. If the script writer's would just follow Connelly's book, they should have an easy time producing a good series but in this instance, we had a difficult time even finishing the entire series.........we did so only because 99% of the pure crap thrown at us by Netflix (and most all other streaming services) did we stick it out for the whole series. It's too bad because if the producers would only come up with better scripts this could be a major, long running series. My advice: Get rid of the Lorna character........and also keep Angus Sampson's as Cisco exposure to a minimum - he's unimpressive also! Either pick up the pace with better actors and a better script or Lincoln Lawyer will not survive another season.

This is a great interview. Hearing Mitzi Roberts talk about her real-life job brings intensity to the cold cases. I am a huge Michael Connelly fan. I've purchased and read every book and disappointed that I have to wait too long for the next one!

How do you read the second half of the waiting it seems to end Midway what book follows the waiting?

Anyone saying its better than season 1 and season 2 is just nuts. This one is boring. Too much with his relationship with the prosecutor. And why?! Because she is black. So say good bye to his white ex wife. Typical of the WOKE garbage which got introduced. Well it is David E. Kelly who produced this. A big WOKE enthusiast. So the defendant who is white and gay has a black boyfriend. And Mickey’s driver and assistant is black and she is gay lesbian.

Best book in years!

I've had the great pleasure of meeting Michael Connelly two times. When I lived in Florida, I went to author's reading at a Vero Beach bookstore. My favorite author to listen to was Michael Connelly. Love you his books, his characters. He is generous with his time, allowing for questions and fan pics. Very down to earth, easy going guy.

Can't wait till the book is out!!

I love Bosch, so smart, so honorable. I was afraid you were setting us up for Bosch 's demise with all the cancer talk in recent novels .

Michael is my most favourite author and I love Bosch however I’ve now fell for mickey haller the series is fabulous . Thank you for this Michael it’s so wonderful to see x

Just finished the audio book. It's another "can't put it down" book! Thanks Michael! I have listened to all your books, more than once. There is nothing like them. No other author even comes close to writing this caliber police procedural. I even learned about a new forensic tool using ears! OK now I just have to survive the wait until your next book comes out.

Really enjoyed it, Mike! One of my favorites in the series. Would be honored if you would blurb my Crime Thriller novella, Riker's Calling, by Rico Lamoureux.

Highly recommend Connelly's new book, The Waiting. No Haller in this one but Ballard, Bosch, and Maddie Bosch. Looking forward to watching the new Lincoln Lawyer season.

So good. Way better than season 2

Just watched all episodes of Season 4. Loved every minute. Have read 33 Micheal Connelly books and Micky is exactly as portrayed and lives up to all my expectations. The rest of the cast also do a superb job. Wish Season 5 would follow quickly. What on earth am I going to watch now?

Can't wait to watch it all in one night and I can't wait for the next Lincoln Lawyer novel (whenever that comes out). I have read all of them already 3 three times

I read all his books, and the first ones were magnificent! However the more recent books are a bunch of woke nonsense. I read fiction to escape the day to day routine. I don’t need to be lectured yet again by the out of touch progressive liberals. Apparently Michael Connelly is just that. Very disappointing!

Pre-ordered of course. Meanwhile I re-read Two Kinds of Truth and City of Bones. I repeat myself: Imho, it's nothing less than genius writing in each and every aspect there is in novel writing. We're talking literature here (of which I might say I have a little bit of an idea - even though in German in the first place). Looking forward to seeing Maddie "in action". I hope she doesn't have to "wade through the cesspool every day" as HB describes the work of a (rookie) patrol officer in the above mentioned City of Bones (where the rookie is Julia Brasher - without "Doubloon" even though she certainly is one :)). Good luck, Maddie! Be a worthy successor of your father's - actually sacred - mission! Best regards from Switzerland (unlike Sweden).
