Here we are executing the functional test we created in the last exercise. The pump test is a common RCx functional test, and here we are using a hydromanometer across a discharge triple duty valve to measure differential pressure as a proxy for system flow.

Please tell me more about the impromptu head calc , how did u get the head of the system? Same about the TDV . Looking forward to hear from you the soonest .
If a pump is deemed to be slightly oversized. What operators do is get a butterfly valve installed and throttle it. There are various reasons why it can oversized. Such as the engineer being overly cautious, or considering prospect of expansion ie pump will be more loaded in a future scenario.

From the curve it shows that head is against the flow and if we need to increase the flow we need to add more head ?

From google a thermodynamic quantity equal to the total heat content of a system
Same I’m trying to figure this out
Enthalpy is form of energy(heat), sometimes express in Btu/lb(specific enthalpy) and Btu/hr
