She hummed softly, feeling herself falling asleep when the familiar feeling of his back rested under her. Well, not really rested, he simply placed her there and teleported back to the Inn. As she felt herself slowly doze off, she noticed two things. The first was a rainbow, bright and lighting up the skies of the early afternoon. The second was everyone softly whispering about the crown of wild Glaze Lilies placed upon her head, still dripping with a mix of morning dew and raindrops.

Finally done he grabbed your arms that still seemed to be trying to push him off and interlock his hands with yours but more so him gripping yours as he brought them above your head. Looking back down at you as you seem to be in a flustered yet shocked state he smiled at the view. "Oh im going to claim you if its the last thing I do. There is noway around this. Fight back all you want I find it cute. At least I feel good putting you below me especially like this. Oh y/n you'll understand once I get you to fall for me also then you really can't leave. First time writing a pov so here we go. (srry if its bad lol) gender neutral, referred to as traveler. POV: You felt the cold droplets of rain fall from the top of your head, down through your hair, to your shoulders, and down your arms as it slid down to your finger tips. It was your first time in Liyue and you had no clue where you were going or why, all you wanted to do was walk. You had a long day and needed a break and this seemed like the best way to calm down. You felt as if you where being used by the people in Liyue. To run errands, gather supplies they could acquire easily themselves, delivering letters that could've been a conversation for a later date, and many more tasks. It seemed as if all they did was use you for their own needs. And all you wanted was a break. The reason you came to Liyue in the first place was to find someone that had once been very close to your heart. Your partner in crime, your second in command, your right hand man, your sibling. And yet, after all the time and energy spent to get even a sliver of a hint as to their whereabouts, your efforts were in vain. Of course you had made many friends and allies along the way, but many enemies came about as opposed to that. You had fought many noble beasts and earned tons of respect among the people of Tyvat, but that wasn't what you came here to do. You came to find your sibling. Yet you were still at the drawing board. After walking for at least 30 minutes, you stumbled across a short figure standing under a tree. He was lean in muscle but still wielding a long polearm in his right hand. He stared up at the sunset over the peaks of the Huaguang Stone Forest. The peaks dusted in oranges and pinks of all shades. Ever since he helped you find Mountain Shaper and Cloud Retainer you hadn't had the time to talk. "To be honest, I'm a bit worn out but I'll be ok. I just need some rest." "That's good. He seemed to be enjoying the time spent together and when he though you weren't looking, even smiled a bit to himself. Xiao was one of the many people you were genuinely comfortable being with. You felt as if you could be yourself with him. It made you happy to know you had a friend in Tyvat. One that would listen to your every worry and comfort you no matter the issue. It gave you peace of mind knowing that you had a friend in Xiao, and it made him happy knowing that you could trust him and that he could do the same. You walked for about 30 minutes until you got to the hotel in the harbor. "Well, I hope you sleep well traveller." The blue haired man said before you entered the building that lie in front of you two. "Goodnight Xiao sleep well." THE END

The sun was setting, turning the sky into a beautiful orange and pink gradient. Very few were out during this display. Xiao glanced at Aether. He was, honestly, confused about him. The traveler came from a far and met so many others but yet… he chose to spend so much time with Xiao, despite his karma. It has always astounding him. He tried to quell his thoughts. His eyes danced around the field for any sign of danger, yet found nothing. Perhaps even the hilichurl and slime hid away during the rain. Aether gently poked his shoulder, pulling him fully out of his head. Aether stared at him with such kindness. This time, Xiao could see your face a bit better and he spotted that tears began to fall from your eyes at a rapid pace. He hated seeing you cry, maybe because without realizing it, he had started to fall for you too. "I'm just scared. If you turn out to not like me back... I don't want to lose you, Xiao!!" A human, her eyes gleaming at him in astonishment and surprise. He wasn't in celestia! If he could he'd just disappear from their sight, but his enegery was drained, it wouldn't be possible. "Your hurt!" The girl human gasped, "Hold on, I'll be back!" The human got up with great haste and rushed out of his sights. Xiao let his head fall back onto the chilled muddy land below. Exhaustion covered him like a large wave. Murmering was all he heard for a moment, but a cold delicate hand landed on his shoulder, it made him awake in a start. "Wha- How dare-" The human smiled warmly at him, "Shh. Your okay now." She silently placed a white bandage on his tattooed shoulder, covering up the deep scar. He lay on a dry dirt ground, just outside a human living quarter. Next to him sat the girl, and a small fold out table with badges and ointments. He back up on his elbows in a quick moment, humans were ruthless unpredictable creatures, they couldn't be trusted. Plus, his adeptal energy would harm this human, he didn't want another beings blood on his hands. "It's okay, I'm not gonna hurt you." She pulled his arm up so that he sat up facing her. "There, your all bandaged up." She announced in a stupid human triumph. "I don't need them." He hissed. "Now leave human, you have no respect for the aduptus!" She frowned as he stood up weakly, "You need a bit before you can go out doing whatever you do." She stood up as well, passing him and on the way grasping his wrist. He ripped it from her grasp, "You foul human-" He began, but was cut off. "Oh shush, follow me. The rain is only a sprinkle now, it should be fine to go out." The exhaustion hit him again and after a quick moment, he was willingly following her. The house was left behind and he and the human were atop a small hill. On the very top lay a smooth rock. She sat down, placing her delicate dress on her knees, eventually, and reluctantly the exhausted yaksha followed. She smirked, and pulled out a small human made flute, tiny dents made in it to appear as designs. The girl lifted it to her lips and began to play an ancient toon, once known by the ones of Guili plains. He felt taken aback by it, he hadn't heard the song in eons. Not since... not since Guizhong's death during the Archon War. Rex Lapis had forbid the song in the city, it reminded him to much of the gorgeous God. Now Xiao knew that he missed it dearly. She played without a care that he could easily kill her, harm her badly at any moment. She was not afraid of him. The soothing song made his wounds feel numb, he knew Guizhong must be shining her love from up above. The young girl smiled, "did you like the song?" The tired yaksha turned to her, "It was good." He murmured, he had never dreamed of saying something so kind to a human. But the soothing cold of his wounds, the song that was held so dear in his heart, he felt something he hadn't known for many years. Peace.
