Took me a while to finally compile a mod showcase.
Have you seen someone successfully modding weapon model and animation in CS2? I discussed this a while back in ZooL's discord and I was told that we have the means to change the model but we don't have the tools needed to make change to the animation. That's why I decided to stick in CSGO, while the question still lingers in my mind "Do we get to make animations for CS2 in the future?".

    This looks awesome, simple but effective and fits in neatly with the rest of the game's feel. It's a real shame ho valve once again decided to be jerkoffs with CSGO and didn't allow us to mod multiplayer matchmaking, the game could be way better with mods and I think the gamebanana would get even bigger than Source's lol.     Absolutye awesome m8, that pull out animation really matches with the weapons play-style. Fast paced headshot machine. The sound effect change can be weird since im used to the new-old sounds of it from csgo bakc when they changed it, but not a big ideal imo. The inspect animation is really though of; the way it turns it self to show the bullet inside. That can also benefits some skins. Also the way the arm moves each time a shot is fired, everything is so delicate and timeless, just like in the main game. I really like csgos animation all round they are timeless. Great stuff!

      I think it's fine. There are more twitchy Hyper style reanimations which look ugly in all the games besides MW. This one though feels more subtle.

    Figured I could just place the weapon description within the mod, but I'll talk about the MPX here anyway: "The MPX is a submachine gun designed in 2013 by SIG Sauer. The weapon is designed with modularity as its primary feature. Many of the weapon's parts are interchangeable without requiring special tools, such as caliber between 9mm, .357 SIG and .40 S&W, barrel and handguard of different lengths or with integral suppressor, different stock designs, etc. - The MPX is one of the few SMGs to use closed bolt short-stroke gas piston operation, more commonly used among rifles. Having the bolt in closed position keeps dirt from entering the chamber and causing malfunction; and the short-stroke gas piston will also eject excessive gas and gunpowder residue out at the gas tube. This design, when used with pistol rounds, gives the MPX excellent reliability and recoil control to accompany its fast fire rate. - In addition to the above features, the MPX also adapts some of AR-15's design, such as the charging handle, bolt catch paddle, magazine release, fire selector, dust cover, and an M-LOK rail across the top and on the handguard; while also further developing it for ambidextrous use, most prominently the extra mag release and bolt catch buttons on other sides of the gun. - Regarded as a direct contender of the 60-year-old MP5, the SIG MPX signifies the evolution of modern weapon design. With use of lighter materials, better support for attachments and interchangeable parts, breach-loading action becomes more optimized and more efficient, weapons today have become lighter, more comfortable, more modular, and more controllable. The design of MPX would later be used for developing the weapon's carbine variant MCX."

    Ranon Sarono started a RUclips channel named "hyper" in 2009, sharing much of his 1st person animation among other trivial videos related to games. His RUclips channel gained popularity when he began uploading joke animations, including throwing magazines out of the world, vomiting speed loaders for revolvers, shooting a gigantic Glock and using double barrel extended mag, etc. In addition to RUclips contents, Ranon also created contents for several games such as Counter Strike: Source and Insurgency in the form of weapon mods. One of his mod is the "completely normal revolver", a joke mod for CS:S created in 2015. Ranon's animation hobby became a professional career when he helped created animation for Respawn Entertainment's Titanfall 2, and later Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare 2019, and later Modern Warfare 2 and 3. The rebooted Modern Warfare became well known for its groundbreaking 1st person animation style, its influence still notable till this day. hyper is the one of the first channel I learnt to have fun watching 3D animations. This animation set is created in honor of hyper, as well as many other animator, modder and my family's continuous inspirations. I would also like to thank all of you for coming across this video. My animation style might not be exactly the same as the animators I look up to, nor is my animation up to most people's standard, nor do I create as much contents as others do right now.     With CSGO disabling the inventory menu, it's now impossible to view the weapon and its description. Not sure if I should put those detailed descriptions and history of the weapons now, it does take quite some effort researching the weapons. Regardless, here it is: "The G3 7.62mm NATO battle rifle originates from the Spanish CETME Model 58, with its design taking root as early as the StG45M in World War 2. The CETME rifle (designated "G3") succeeded in competing against the SG510 (G2) and AR-10 (G4) in replacing the FAL for the West German Army in 1959, and in 1977 ceded ownership by the West German government to Heckler & Koch for further optimizations. - The design of the G3 rifle served as a basis for many other weapons, such as the HK21 LMG, the HK33 5.56mm NATO assault rifle, the HK54 9x19mm SMG (Later known as the MP5), and the PSG-1 sniper rifle. - The SG variant (Scharfschützengewehr, "Sharpshooting Rifle") and the original G3 are technically the same since both are in the same production line, but are individually handpicked from test-fires for having the most outstanding accuracy due to errors in manufacturing process. These accurized rifles would recieve modifications such as a renewed trigger, an adjustable cheek riser, and a lengthened handguard with integral bipod, and be exported as the G3SG/1, specifically for sniper use."

      To say that Valve would put any fan made animation into the game would be beyond impossible. On the other hand, I was kind of hoping they would make bigger changes to the animations even if it's not made by me. They did spend some effort on the ammo belt in CS2 though.     Unfortunately I'm having trouble looking into M249's history. Looking to Wikipedia I've seen nothing but this weapon being unreliable, but it doesn't seem to explain why it's appearing in almost every realistic FPS shooter game. I'll try to write a good one later. Apologies.

      It's a mainstay of squad automatic firepower in the US Military, and any prominent weapon in its arsenal is bound for fame in media cooperating with the DoD. It's also practically just a configuration of the ubiquitous FN Minimi, so its extremely close blood relatives are all over the world, and many successors are very similar, at least outwardly. It has a universally recognizeable look of *the* hand-held belt-fed machinegun because it mostly is that for much of the world. Media presence is also somewhat self-perpetuating - it's put on screen and looks like a big mean MG, so more people put it on screen to look big and mean. And M249 has been around for a few decades, keeping the ball rolling. Its reliability issues are owed to lower-than-desirable resistance to ingress of dirt and sand, especially prominent since many of the conflicts it found itself in were in desert environments. It bears mentioning that it was officially adopted in 1982, but first saw heavy use in 1991, in the Gulf War, so most units likely had a fair few years of training use and a number of retrofits behind them before being pushed into real combat in messy environments.

    You can change the description of the gun by simply editing a line of text in the game file, refer to the instruction listed in the .zip file. - "The M4 shotgun is the last model of the Super 90 series, designed in 1998 by Italian firearms manufacturer Benelli, in response to the US Army's request for a 12-gauge semi-automatic combat shotgun. The M4 emerges victorious from 13 other competitors, and was used by the US Marine Corp for testing as the XM1014. Unlike the previous models which use the Inertia Driven recoil-operation systems, the M4 Super 90 uses a new design called Auto-Regulating Gas-Operated (ARGO) system to cycle between rounds. Two symmetrical stainless-steel pistons are placed within the handguard, each containing a rod at the rear to actuate the bolt and a spring valve at the front to dissipate excess pressure, turning the shotgun into gas-operated semi-automatic while omitting much of the complex parts used in a gas-operated system. This relatively simple design results in lightweight, low recoil, as well as extreme reliability even with minimal maintenance. The pistons used in the ARGO system also enables the shotgun to automatically adapt to shells of different lengths and powder charges without needing manual adjustments. The M4 Super 90 was among the first semi-automatic shotguns to be adopted by multiple armed forces. After formal adoption in 1999 as Joint Service Combat Shotgun, the M4 Super 90 is officially designated by the US military as the M1014."
