I didn't know Heilung toured in the US recently. Maria Franz is just superb, and her solo is actually longer. I have their Ofnir album that features this performance. Their Lifa show is just incredible to watch.

They perform with Native Americans at a bunch of their live shows in the US, apparently. If you notice, a lot of the traditional instruments and (presumably) traditional costumes and face paint also resemble historical garb or instruments from other indigenous peoples in various parts of the world. Because if you go back far enough in time, all humans come from the same place, and we share a lot of common aesthetics, due to all being the same species. You are one tiny part of a network made from billions of conscious, social beings; a complex chain that spans backwards and forwards through time. Just like your body is a vast network of billions of cells, and just like all humans are part of an interminably huge web of life-forms and nonliving microbes throughout the universe. But sure, keep jerking yourself off about what constructed language you grew up speaking, which constructed set of borders you were born inside, and (let's be honest about what you're really signaling here) how much melanin you have in your skin. It all definitely matters and indicates your personal worth, and is definitely not cosmically insignificant and based on random chance. And some group of Foreigners (TM) is definitely trying to take it away from you... Somehow.

That was one of my first thoughts as well.
I was at that ritual! I was totally entranced by the drums. Heilung is great to listen to with the volume cranked but their music was truly designed to be performed live rather than played back on a studio album. LOVE.

The translation for this tour name is "Farewell for Now", they've toured a bit lately and I imagine they may be taking a small break since the tour ends in Europe.
Was there on Monday but more to the back. Actually loved my seats could see it all at once at the perfect distance and in the center. Will never forget it. Glad i found this video for some memories, was too in the zone to even bother to try haha
I was here, front row just barely out of frame to the left. I'm so glad they ended the set with this song, easily one of the most memorable concert moments of my entire life. I've been riding this high since Monday!
They ended their set with this when I saw them last October in Baltimore. Apparently Hartford has a different energy.

We were there to the right! We had an elderly couple to our right and a highly unamused family of 3 behind us who hated everyone getting up out of their seats but it was a ride for sure!!!
The crowd was the same as when I saw them last October, everyone was entranced right until this song.
Well too bad for them. It's a concert and a hell of a cool show so they can bite the rest of you for standing up. We're you really supposed to just sit there?

First there is OHHH-AAHHHHH. Then there is running and screaming!
Good thing none of the Abrahamic religions ever do any of that stuff! Especially not enslaving people, plundering gold and precious artifacts from other civilizations, and killing enemies and criminals in gruesome ways. We would never!
Abrahamic religions are also known for never putting on strange or elaborate ceremonial costumes, and then dancing or chanting in large groups during religious rituals.

After seeing Crash Worship, everything seems tame comparatively. I need to listen to more of their stuff, but I wasn't expecting quarter-note beats and vocal harmonies. This is like what the local Shakespeare theater troupe, none of whom are drummers, does on nights between D&D games. Intriguing but I need a bit more fire, wine, and danger. These guys aren't tearing open the fabric of the universe to unleash hordes of berserk warriors. That being said, this is my first impression.
Oh, and this is a healing song? Perhaps hordes of wounded warriors.
