Simple B/E string acoustic bender.
Here is a simple demo showing 2 strings pulling. Managed to find the time to get the E string dropping a tone. So, we have the B string as normal, pulling up a tone and the top E string dropping a whole tone. No fancy picking just a quick demo showing the possibilities. If and when I get the G string also in use, if the guitar top manages it, should sound unique for the acoustic guitar. Thanks for watching.

Acoustic Pullstring B Bender prototype.
Просмотров 3512 года назад
Decided to adapt a MSP Pull String for an Acoustic Guitar. Only have the B puller working at the moment. Bought an old Vintage V400SB guitar for £40 and decided to modify it. Really happy with the first attempt. Have to get the E and G strings working at some point but the stress on a all solid top maybe difficult. Anyway, fun tinkering about.
Sigma Guitar LGMC SG100F Quick Demo

There has been no demo's of this great guitar, a Sigma LGMC-SG100F. I would love to have a Gibson CF100, but even if you can find one, you then have to be able to afford buy it. Good luck. This Sigma is a great guitar. Same strings on the guitar as when delivered. No picks, just fingers and index nail to simulate a flatpick. Solid Sitka top, laminated mahogany back and sides. Gold Tone White Layde WL-250 Banjo. Clawhammer.

Picked up the banjo again after talking with Wayne Rogers of Gold Tone after a lay off from the banjo. Same strings....and still in tune. Anyway, this is a short tune I composed for Wayne and Robyn at Gold Tone, both wonderful people, it is Called "O'r Galon", Welsh for "From The Heart. It's my attempt at playing Clawhammer...still cannot play the style or the banjo for that matter so don't be ...
Last Thing on My Mind/On Top Of The World(The Carpenters) on the Gold Tone F-6 Mando Guitar
Просмотров 9 тыс.8 лет назад
Just a simple video showing how easy it is to play guitar tunes on the Gold Tone F-6. I usually play these tunes with a flat pick on the guitar, but decided to fingerpick. Really need one of those dawg mandolin picks. If you play guitar and want a different sound without learning a new instrument, the Mando Guitar is a great instrument. It has a great woody tone.
BOTH SIDES NOW GOLD TONE F-12

I broke a string on my 12 string Gold Tone F-12 mando guitar, so I decided to take 5 strings off and turn it into a 6 string (F-6) to see what I could get out of it tone wise. Back in the 70's my brother bought me the Nitty Gritty album, Will the Circle be Unbroken, and I loved Randy Scruggs's version of the classic Both Sides Now on there. Here is a simple version of that tune played on the Go...

Messing about with the Gold Tone F 12 again. Basically an extract of my version of Old Joe Clark. I have expanded the tune but thought I would just play it straight to demo the F 12. Audio straight from the camera, but hopefully you get the idea and the style I use for the F 12. Lots more to come. Heads up to Wayne and the Gold Tone Team that produce great quality instruments and a tremendous p...

Messing about on my Gold Tone F-12. There are a few reviews out there, but just thought I would put some originals and ideas out. A few mistakes, but take it for what it is. Its just a showing what the F-12 can be capable of. Great guys at Gold tone for sure.

You have the right touch for clawhammer. Sounds lovely.
Wow, what's the great playing!
Wow. Ive been looking at one of these fpr awhile and this is the best ive heard one sound. Good job, hombre!
Hi Mark, Many thanks. Really appreciated. G
Can't wait to get mine
Nice playing! I was wondering about fingerstyle playing and this was the video I needed so thanks for posting this.
I got mine today and some of the notes are not in tune when fretted. Very disappointed as these aren't cheap
Had to put bridge very crooked but done the trick if anyone reads this
Nice demo! A good emulation of the mandolin.
Thanks Johnny, much appreciated
The fact that anybody would play a 12 string instrument, in general, with finger picking is beyond me, but it seems to work well here. XD Just bought one of these, hopefully will be arriving tomorrow. So excited!!
tell me about the instrument----tuning etc---is it electric----i play blues on my 8 sting----or rawhide ((bluegrass----))what can i do with this thing???how bout ---the thrill is gone-----lookin for something different-- bobby pierce---
Hi, Basically the Mandoguitar is what is says, it is a mandolin sounding instrument....but tuned like a guitar a octave higher. Whatever you play on guitar, you can do on the mandoguitar. I use it in open tunings or standard, see other demo's. It is electric. I suppose, it is whatever you mind wants it to be. Hope this helps G
Excellent job that was one of the best demos I've ever seen thanks bro
Thanks Roger, appreciated.
I am from Spain (Europe) and I am interested in acquiring this instrument in the USA. I have inquired from the company but am still waiting for an answer on this: can someone please tell me if they will work with 12 string acoustic guitar strings, and if so, what gauge? I ask because the distribution of the instrument and its strings does not reach Spain, so that if you buy it, you can change the strings. Thank you so much.

Beautiful!
I have one on order!
They are great. If you find the 12 string a little cramp, just use it as a 6 string.
I just ordered one myself. Wife will kill me. But what else is new?
@@Ira88881 No regrets with this string machine my friend. Great decision!
Beautiful
It's basically a Wire Strung Genovese Mandolin
What happened to the guy? He's great.

incredible fingerpicking skills
Great tone. Though I've played guitar for 30 years, I'm not too versed in acoustic guitar models. But I know what timbres I like. After trying and being disappointed by every Taylor, Yamaha, and Fender at my local shop I discovered the Sigmas and was blown away. Had to do some research and learned they are cloning classic Gibsons.
This is an f6, not an f12.
Poor title, but read the description 👍
Tone sounds thin
F6
its an f12 thats missing strings. You can tell by the string spacing, neck width, and the explanation in the description. Its not an F6
Awesome picking ♥️
Excellent technique and you are an excellent player. Otherwise; This Sigma sounds every bit as good as a Vintage Gibson C100-FE based on youtube videos. I am looking for a Sigma SG100F but they are rare. The original vintage Gibsons are way out of my reach as you mention, but after Gibson's recent aggressive behavior towards customers and other companies with e.g. the "Play Authentic" youtube video, I wont buy new from them ever again. I play Gibson since the 1980s.
This is freaking awesome ! I just ordered one one these, was the string spacing ok when you had it strung up as 6 string? Was this video standard guitar tuning or open tuning? Great job!
Many thanks for the comments, really appreciated. Open G tuning. String spacing was great when I had it as a 6 string. Pretty sure Wayne Rogers at Goldstone also adjusted the spacing after the initial run, which I had. The instrument is capable of producing tones that you cannot achieve on the guitar. I approached it not to be ike a mandolin sounding instrument, but a instrument in its own right if you know what I mean.
NICE...wait. Hey SLIDE RIDE great also. MASTER music man .
Thanks Steve, appreciated.
Wow what's the opening song? Beautiful playing
Hi, mine arrived yesterday. The action needs to come down a little but there is no movement left in the bridge. Is there any way round this? It's brand new.
I might have to get one of these. I play guitar so it would be cool to play a "mandolin" without having to relearn everything since this is essentially just a mandolin shaped soprano guitar.
12 strings!
G tuning capoed to A?
Hi David, Double C tuning capo 2nd fret. Thanks for the question
@@maharg11 so what would that make it?
Nice one. Heck of a cutaway.
Is this a Mandolin string. If so what pattern of tuning it is.
Strings are described on the Gold Tone website. This is in G tuning. I'm just playing tunes I usually play on the 12 string.
maharg11 Here's some new strings for your F-12:goldtonemusicgroup.com/goldtone/accessories/fgs12ex Extra Light gauge Strings & now you can record.
Many thanks,
@@maharg11 The Tailpiece is really special to also keep the strings from Popping out.
@UCrz9zxJU41kPEJU2CCMAgFQ I found some new strings for your F-12:goldtonemusicgroup.com/goldtone/accessories/fgs12ex and to keep them from breaking, you should lubricate the bridge and nut with pencil led.
Great.
Nice one, G.
Thank you for the demo. Can someone tell me the tuning of each string pair? Looks like the lower string pairs are an octave apart; but the upper pairs are tuned the same. True?
That seems likely based on the way a 12 string guitar is usually tuned (octave pairs on EAD, unison pairs on GBE), and that the F6 is an octave above a regular guitar so I would guess the F12 is just an octave above a 12 string.
Hi Sebastian. The 6 to 4th string are an octave apart. The top 2 are in unison.
Is this standard tuning? EADGBE?
Irvan Sigufi yes: it’s tuned as if a guitar was capo’ed at the 12th fret
@@dfender57 Correct my friend. Standard tuning, key of C :-) Great instrument
U must make a cocer of Wish you were here 🙌
never heard of it
NICE
Thanks Eric
Are you in a G tuning?
Sorry for the "very late" reply, yes G tuning
GREAT SOUND ......
Thanks Eric
Beautiful sound
Yes sir! That's awesome
This is the F-6, not the F-12 model. Thanks for the demo.
As he said in the description, it's an F-12 but with only six strings. Pretty much the same as the F-6, but it was originally an F-12.
This is a F-12 with 6 strings taking off due to a broken string.
Is this normal tuning that you are playing with? Thanks
I believe it is tuned an octave above a standard guitar
I have one - "standard tuning" is tuned one octave above a 12 string guitar But the G string is not an octave "set" like on a standard 12 string guitar - just two G's (low) E's, A's, D's octave pairs, G's, B's, E's (high) doubled This guy sure rocks this !!!
Hi Steve G tuning.
Question, if I may? Is this the way it comes out of the box? Or did you have to get it set-up? Thanks pal
Hi Steve. Out of the box, perfect.
Oh man I love this! And you rock it brother, great alternative for us guitar guys who want a mandolin sound!
Thanks Steve
Love your playing and this instrument! I have been looking for something like this for a long time! Thanks so much for posting this, it has helped me make a decision to buy one...
Many thanks. Great instrument. Opens up all new possibilities
Hey Bracken, many thanks for the kind words, much appreciated. First tune is an original, usually played on a 12 string guitar, just thought I would try it out on the F12.
