How to make an AR15 non-functional
Просмотров 223 месяца назад
A client asked what is the best way to make a rifle non-functional. This is a pretty good way. You could also keep the upper and lower separated all together.

This is one of the best straight forward trigger installs I’ve watched on RUclips-thank you!
I’m assuming hammer spring rests on the trigger pin?
This has helped me on 2 diff occasions. Thank you
between the beginning and the end, i guess a miracle occurs?
@@gothael exactly
🍻
the slave pin idea SAVED me, really appreciate the video, excellent material!
The SLAVE PIN is money in the bank! It makes that install so much easier.
Glad we could help Justin!
Stop it there's only one port that will fit thanks for nothing
3/8 oring around the whole front take down pin lug on the upper will solve any wobble magpul bad lever for ambi slide release in a more convenient location...
This is a beautiful rifle
@@itsraheem thank you. This particular one is gone. Email stromanindustries@gmail.com if we should be talking!
If your hammer head hits the bolt catch release, what does this indicate and how do I go about fixing it?
It won't hit it when the Bolt Carrier Group is installed, it will hit the firing pin. Don't dry fire your trigger without the BCG installed, it could damage the lower and/or the bolt catch release.

I still don't get it.
email me at stromanindustries@gmail.com and we can set upa a facetime if you need help.
@@SentinelArms I got it like 5 minutes after whining on here, but thanks so much for reaching out. I just really had to fandangle it with some finesse. I was sweating though. I guess my lowerkit just didn't like my stripped lower.
I build one about two years ago I’ll be dam if I could remember how I did this. Thanks for the video.
great video!
My Delton sierra has this screw already installed I can just tighten it down right and it will eliminate the wiggle ? What was someone saying about the detent spring or something ?(if youcan’t tell I’m new)
To access the tension screw, you'll have to take off the pistol grip. When you take off the grip, there is the safety selector detent and spring to keep track of.

“Let me show you how to do this” then puts whole body in front of camera.😂
I know. I need to get a second person in the shop just to run the camera for me
@@SentinelArms, I sound like such an ass after reading it again. Hopefully you didn’t take it that way.
The freon charger will only fit on the low pressure side, floow the line back from the ac pump.
For anyone struggling to get the hammer installed with the pin. Move the selector to the fire position and its cake from there.
Great tip!
How about if the selector switch isn't installed yet? I'm working on my first build and can't seem to get the hammer pin all the way through. I used my 5/32" punch as an alignment tool, I can get it all the way through, but when I put the pin in, the punch comes completely out and leaves the pin just barely lacking going completely through. It appears that it is a touch out of line of going on through and I try moving the hammer, but it's stiff as a ram's horn! Then I push my punch through, pushing the pin completely out and start all over again, with the same result. I only lost one pivot pin detent installing it! LOL! I used a 1/4" X 2" clevis pin from Home Depot. It only took 134 tries to get it! LOL! Any tips on the hammer pin will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
What happens if you put in that other one?
The wrong port is the wrong size...the recharge canister won't fit it.
Well my truck had two spots it fit on, the first one was also on that main line that the bigger port was on, and the other was in the spot he points out.
Thank you thats big help you deserve a like and a subscription
Thank you!
Epic video. This helped me 100% of the way through. By the way, I used a spare trigger guard roll pin as a slave pin for the trigger 👊 thanks brother
I agree 100%
Most of these install videos are fraught with errors and bad advice. You did a good job here.
Thank you @MsPatriotfront, we try to do it all correctly.
Those alignment pins are a must, it seems.
They make it a lot easier!
Not needed. Push down on the disconnector/trigger so the holes line up and get the pin in. Hammer the same but has more spring tension and push it against a table to get the pin past the internal spring.
We need more !
Any specifics? I'll gladly make one custom per your request.
Great Video man
Thank you!
are there any steel tipped versions of these? mine is wearing out from having a kingpin setup
You don't want that screw to be steel-tipped. Uppers are aluminum, which is softer than steel. With a steel-tipped set screws, the upper would wear in the spot the set screws is adding tension instead of the nylon tip. Screws are a lot cheaper than uppers to replace when their warn out. Just tighten it down a bit more once the nylon becomes compressed from wear, then replace the screw once it doesn't work anymore.
3/16 hex! Thank you 👍
YES, these details are so helpful!
Safety switch can go in afterwards?
So I think it's easiest to install the safety selector after you place the trigger and before you install the trigger pin. I did NOT do this in the video.
Very nice. I wanted to get the 458 ham’r when I got my 458 socom but they stopped the production at the time.
Might wanna get shot of the actual part. And not you fucking hands.
My LWRCI M6IC SPR has some slop/wiggle. Called them and they said yeah just depends on what you get some have it some don't but it's normal.. I was not too happy after spending what I spent on this rifle and let him know and he ask for my info and asked me to look out in the mail. Sent this screw with no instructions or info… So thanks for this video and info! 🙌🏼
Glad to help!
What we want to see is how to take one off and swap it over to another. For some reason Ive watched 15 youtube videos and all of them start with the upper already off of the riffle.
Ahhh, I see. I'll make that video soon!
@@SentinelArms Thanks mate. You may review the policy though. I learned there are certain build things that cannot be shown on youtube for whatever reason.
Thank you so much man i was worried i was gonna have trouble installing the trigger and with this video i had it done in 20min 😂😂😂
Glad we could help!
Best video I’ve seen on a stock trigger assembly and install. 👍🏽
Agree 100%
Thank you!
Thank ya, sir. It's been a while
you are very welcome!
If you decide to reshoot this vidoe the hammer spring assembly was very badly out of frame.
I know, I was watching the hammer instead of the screen. Rookie mistake!
Thankyou
Who makes that bench block?
Real Avid
@@SentinelArms thank you…. I appreciate the reply I’ve only seen the wheeler one… I wonder if this one is better/cheaper

How long is that barrel ??? Looks longer than 16 in…
18" barrel!
Do you remember what barrel it is and the twist? How does it shoot?
@@dustinlippe6856 It shoots great! I've only taken it out to 150 yards, but it's on point and consistent. Here are some of the specs: Chamber: 300 HAM'R Feed Ramps: M4 style Finish: Matte bead blasted stainless Gas Block Seat: .750" x .920" - Dimpled for set screw Gas System: Mid length Length: 18" Material: Stainless steel - Type 416R Muzzle Threads: 5/8" x 24 Profile: Tactical Hunter (Fluted) Rifling: 1:15 - Button rifled Weight: 27.2 oz.
This simple description helped me understand more than the diagrams I saw elsewhere. Thanks.
Thank you @JakeFreivald
Does it matter which installs first? Trigger or hammer first??
Install trigger first. Hammer second.
You sound like tom cruise
I'd rather look like him, but I'll take that as a compliment!
Horrible video bro moving way too fast and not explaining correctly
Thanks for your feedback @richard9390. Is there any specific part of the install you are having difficulty with? I'll gladly make a slower video and explain more correctly.
Needed to see the orientation of the last part after the install.
Gives us another link buddy, the one you been posting doesn't work. I need that bag !!
Already knew how they work this is just the video that came up first very well explanation I love when gun people make a clean professional demonstration it makes us 2ndA people look good At 3:00 minutes you say “I can hook you up with that” I want to be in the market for a binary trigger but on a budget did that gun come with it? I love the gun.
I'm so frustrated with myself for not finding this video sooner. It took me forever to line up the holes to get that dang trigger and hammer installed. None of my instructions mentioned the helpfulness of a slave pin. Also, I wasted so much time trying to figure out which end of the trigger pin goes in first. Too often, instructional videos and manuals are created omitting certain small but important details. That only creates major headaches and tons of wasted time for people who are doing things for the first time. Thanks so much for being thorough in your instructional video!!!!
Thanks @artbylove! I'm always open to new videos upon request. Hollar if you have any snags with your AR15.
Or just Buy a M4E1
That bronze looks sickkkk dude! 🔥
Thank you @bargainbintactician
What happens if you flip the disconnector spring and have the small part go down first?
I don't know from experience, but it's possible the spring won't stay in place.
Same place as my Avalanche 2008. Thanks
