I have the 2012 mkx Theres no back up cam on it.
Its a factory option, some do and some dont.
What is the redline?
@@Chilicharger665 7200, it hit it first run but did not on this one.
Did they run a tach pickup to the engine when you did the dyno pulls?
No, unfortunately only wheel speed.
The thing sounds like a Zonda from the inside. Damn is that impressive, what exhaust are you using?
@KaDuWin Thanks! I need to redo the video, it was only making around 200 wheel in this one, with some issues. Re dynoed this morning at 290 wheel. It's a combination of Frankenstein headers, tcs y pipe, with 3 inch to lotus style knock off twin muffler.
@rtautosport4175 Damn fine work. I wish my SW had a 2GR that sounded like this.
This is so sick. Currently a dream of mine to swap a 2GR in my MRS. Seeing this makes me more motivated to save up enough to finally do it!
Its so worth it! Goodluck on swap!
Just fantastic, thank you!
Your welcome!
The video super really helpful, theNissan Altima, piece of shit design, has to remove the whole bumper just to replace the headlights, omg.
Haha agreed....but glad this video helped!
Did this leak ?
@mattperry129 It never leaked on my but the car was garage kept and not driven in the rain much and now has been sold since.
@rtautosport4175 you have to remove the old sunroof? Just curious becuase my sun roof leaks , im just trying to get it to stop 🤣
@@mattperry129 Haha yes, whole assembly is removed, then just lay down a nice even bead of sealant before installing rivets.
I’m about to start buying parts for my Mr-s 2gr swap any tips? Did you have to cut the firewall?
@@NelsonS92 I did have to cut the parcel tray to access the rear coils and dip stick.
@ I figured that was the best way. Do you have a write anywhere with info on how to do it?
I used the @frankenstienmotorworks videos as a guide. I don't have a write up on how I did it, but his videos are a great start. From there I was just flying blind and figuring it out along the way, there's a bunch of DIY solutions to make it work, but now that it's driving it was so worth it. Let me know if you come across anything you need suggestions on. @ RTAutosport321@gmail.com
@@rtautosport4175thank you I really appreciate that! Can you do a video showing your setup? I’d love to see it! 😄
Btw are you in Florida too? I’m in Fort Lauderdale.
So simple, thank you!
How did you handle the tach recalibration?
Dakota Digital SGI-100bt. Super easy install, after adding power/gnd just need to snag the tach signal behind the cluster. The Dakota has an app to adjust settings on your phone, just have to have it set to 4cyl input and 6 cyl output.
Great video and super helpful format. Only thing I wish you went into more detail is disconnecting the wiring harnesses. It may seem simple but I was worried I was going to break something.
This video helped me install my new lights in the most simple easy way fr thank u so much u saved me a hassle fr
I'd love it if I could actually see half of what you're doing
It's a fairly straightforward tutorial. If you can't follow along, this job is probably better left for someone else to do it for you.
this video was so helpful to get started, thanks.... just installed replacement back-up cam yesterday, here are some additional things I noticed/some more tips: make sure you have the right tip to unscrew the bracket ("T20 Torx", or I just went through my box of various sized/shaped bits and found one that fit). the space between the screw and the metal panel is *tiny* so it really helps to have a 90 degree allen wrench/torx tool, but I didn't have one so I managed used my extra-small screwdriver with interchangeable tips; it worked but it was tough and I scratched up my hand in the process. the actual removal and replacement of the camera is the easiest part, and the cords remove and reattach just by pulling off/pushing on, no pinching or release required, which is super helpful in that tiny space. taking the plastic panel covering off was a bit nerve racking... I tried to be careful and pull gently but in the end I had to just rip it off in certain places, but nothing broke. one plastic retainer/fastener clip got stuck in the metal panel but I easily pulled it out and put it back in the plastic panel. putting the plastic panel covering back on took two of us to line it up and then we basically just lightly punched it all over to get the clips to click back in to place. My local shop didn't want to do this "repair" and the two dealerships I called charged $180 just to diagnose, and then estimated it would be $500-$1,000 to fix/replace the camera. I bought a replacement for $49.99 plus tax on Amazon www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09R3JQPJK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. So far it's working perfectly (fingers crossed). Try it yourself, YOU CAN DO IT!
Did it keep the backup lines? Right after I drove my 2015 MKX off the lot I went to back into a parking space at a gas station and had the dreaded upside down camera, I bought a new one on eBay for 45$ and it works great however when trying to program it with forscan it doesn’t work, so I don’t have any of the lines for assistance. I know it’s a small thing but I’d like to have all of the features.
@@Alborn30 The replacement camera worked exactly as the original one. Good luck!
It’s when we change air bag we need change combination switch I change air bag but my car airbag light it’s still on how to i reset?
Best bumper removal on RUclips for the altima. Straight to the point and shows exactly where each bolt, screw or clip is. I have a crack that i need to fix and paint and also need to replace the radiator one day. Thanks for all the helpful tips!
Glad it helped, I was inspired to make it simple straight foward due to all the other videos being so long and all over the place.
Got the camera on Amazon for $45, and put it in less than hour. Thank You!!
how is the camera quality? Im pretty sure were looking at the same one and want to know how the quality is
I was pleasantly surprised how good it was. I am a happy camper 😊

Thank' so much I had the same car and verified every detail of this car for repairs.
Glad it helped!
whats the screwdriver peice you used?
It was just a standard flat blade screw driver used.
@@rtautosport4175 I meant the drill piece sorry
Good information! I unfortunately got myself into a three car accident which was unfortunately my fault so knowing im going to be paying more im gonna fix my bent rim, head light assembly, and my passenger side mirror that fell off but luckily can be reattached
My god is this the best instructional video ever. Straight to the point. I love the text and arrows. I can easily pause and follow along. So much better than hearing someone talk and they get side tracked like….. “ well my wife hit a deer and smashed the headlamp, so we filed insurance and blah blah blah”. Great job man!
Love the feedback! I always thought the same, which inspired me to make them like this, simple-straight forward. Guess I need to make some more now. Thanks!
Love your style! No talking just show me! Thank you!
Your welcome! Straight to the point, sometimes if you need more info than that you probably should pay someone to do it, ha.
@@rtautosport4175 I disagree. I work on aircraft & cars/trucks/Simi's. I always check the T.O. (technical orders), schematic, checklist etc. before doing the job. I don't Pay anybody if I can do it myself.
I know so many others have left comments already… but if this helps, as of November 29, 2023.. it’s really helpful! You don’t have to lift your car up with a jack if you don’t have one. It makes it 10-20% slightly harder to unscrew some things. But it’s doable. You’ll need a 10mm bolt or 13/32 for a perfect fit. A 3/8 is slightly too small. Thank you so much. This video really makes the process easy for me.
Thanks for info! Glad it helped
My backup camera doesn't work all the time what should I do to check it
Well explained in detail thank you very much. Also the fluid windshield container should be easy to reach at this point right? Thanks.
Just changed my head lights using this video. Thank you for saving me a couple hundred buck not going to a mechanic 🙏
Glad I could help! :)
Thank you so much! Liked and subbed ❤️
Glad to help!
great video!

You helped us so much. Light lamps are changed. Thank you.
Just finished changing the lamp kits on my daughter’s 15 Altima. Followed along with you, fantastic job!!! Thank you!!!
Glad it helped! 🍻
So i just did this today. Bought completely new headlights. When i removed the headlights there was only ONE bulb adapter to take out, the low beam was hardwired inside the lense somewhere. My new headlights were completely different in the back. Had 3 people come over and look at the factory headlights and every one if them were like WTF?! Was so depressed putting my old cloudy headlights back in.
So replacing the headlamp assembly enjoys essentially involves removing the front bumper assembly.
The video was on point and I watched a few before yours. Thanks! My notes: Rather than fully remove the bumper, i put two stools underneath and set the bumper on them. I watched a video on aligning the projectors. After reassembling the bumper i had to align light by entering through the wheel well with 10 mm crescent, because i didn't have a *long *thin Phillips. The headlights I used where Nilight $170 pair from Amazon, with black housing. Came with bulbs. Having two people was helpful when aligning through wheel well. Process was easy but still took me a few hours. Result is great and glad to have full headlights. It's the little things in life. 👏🥂🤸🚗💡👍✌️
Great, detailed and to the point video!! I had to browse through dozens of crappy vids before I found this one! Thank you!
Glad it helped, that was the idea, straight to the point.
Great video man! Did you just use cheap Amazon/eBay head lights? If so how are they holding up?
Thanks! This was a customer car and havnt had any reports of failure since the replacement time when video was posted. All parts were purchased on Amazon.
I just replaced my headlight assembly following this video. Thanks for posting!!
Glad it helped!
Why would they design the car that way?
Weird, I have a 2011 MKX and the videos for it and the Ford Edge were totally different. Decided to take a look at this video and that's how my camera is mounted! maybe they made a mid-year upgrade to the 2011?
I have an early 2011 and there are several differences between mid year. My door mirrors are also completely different.
Man I really really need to tell u that I greatly appreciate this video!!!! I was able to replace my headlight covers, well basically everything in your video lol. I wish I could send u something Starbucks or something!!! Thank u so so much!!!!!❤️🙌🏾
Glad it helped! I've had such good feedback and seems like the video is user friendly! Completely not necessary but venmo is in the description 😎 have a nice day!
Can`t thank you enough for posting this. I just changed my headlight assemblies on my 14 altima. this video made it sooo much easier. thanks again!!!!
It served its purpose then, glad to help!
You dirty as hell for not showing me how to put this back together
Any chance you can go over the clips for both sides in more dealtail? Once I got the 10mm bolt out, I wiggled the clip on the right and it came out. Left one was more difficult. I can't seem to get them back in the right way though...
Great video thanks
Such a great video. Short, to the point, and all the info you need to do the job. Thank you!
quick, simple, and straight to the point. thanks man!
I just changed them by my self. Thank you so much, your instructions were very clear.
If just replacing one side, does the whole bumper have to come off?
I would recommend it. You risk damaging several things if you try to wiggle the assembly out with only one side off. It isn't much more work. I would advise having an assistant for the part where you put the front back on
Terrible design to have to go through all that BS just to replace the whole headlight housing.
