I go over how to use the thread tool to make a Nut & Bolt that fit together when 3D Printed. The trick to making the thread work for the nut is by scaling the thread region only, watch to find out how. In this video, I show the basic design flow for creating hinges in Fusion360. In this video, I specifically rely on relative size rather than exact dimensions. Stay tuned for a later mini project in which I will go over dimensioning this part. Is there a way to add detail, for example drawing in eyes of the rabbit?
Very clear and useful.
Can meshmixer do parametric design ?
Абсолютно бесполезная хрень, непонятно зачем печатать кроликов, вазы и фигуры? эти принтеры печатают в очень плохом качестве, что подходит для технических деталей, крепежей и т.д
why when I import the bunny I don't see all those faces?
Thank you so much
How can you delete stuff? For exemple the bunny his ear?
Nevermind I saw it in your other video ty
All of these tools were additive. Are there subtractive tools? All I want to do is make some cuts into a body. No idea how to do it.
I'm not sure if you covered this, but if you want to invert your tool - for example carve a channel instead of extruding a bump, you simply hold ctrl (works with most, but not all, sculpting tools). Been looking all over for this bit of info so maybe this will help someone else.
You have no idea how much this just helped me. I’ve been looking up and down the internet for videos on it but never could find one. Thank you because it really helps.
Thank you so much for this! Exactly what I wanted to know - how to carve out in Meshmixer.
Dude! He didn't cover it in the video. Pretty remiss. I'm glad you posted this as I was googling it for yonks until I spotted your helpful comment. Cheers.
Been looking for this for a solid ten minutes, and finally found it in a youtube comment? I would have never guessed. Thanks, internet stranger!
I feel this should have mentioned that holding +CTRL whilst using these tools makes them work substractively. E.g. spikes become dents.
tryed this program it is complex to rember any thing is there something like 3d builder but more tools
Hi, I'm totally new to any of this but I found your examples easy to follow. Question - how are you deleting the shapes that you added on? Right click?
Ctl-Z
no part 3?
Sad that this is the last part…
Wow awesome video!!
I want to bring the model on the surface modeling plate ,how it can be done?
Maybe you have covered it in another video or maybe not but im trying to take the basic "3dBenchy" model and i want to remove everything except the hull. the basic benchy doesnt float upright so im wanting to seperate the hull at the deck level of the model;
Great video. Please talk louder next time! Audio was very low level.
cool but those are not chess pieces. How would you go about making some chess pieces (Knight, Queen, King, maybe an Elephant, etc)?
for clarification: chess pawns are not considered chess pieces.
Really good video with descriptions, much appreciated. Is this a program you would use to freestyle a model? Or is there another? Thanks again.
Thank you for the help. how do you turn off the color? my bunny turns black when i move the cursor over her
Using any brush just crumpled my full design. What am I doing wrong?
Thank you so much you’re a natural teacher!!!!
Do I have the option to change the way I use the mouse?
Wish you would have kept making for video for this playlist. These have been so helpful. Thank you for doing these, great work!
How can we make zoom and how can we delet an object
Thank you so much!!
maybe you could upload a new link where we could download meshmixer
you just saved my day
Please, watch the sound level when you edit your videos. Or buy a new mike. Or speak louder. But do something about that inaudible sound.
Thank you! This is a valuable tutorial for beginners like me. Much appreciated!
These are great videos. Any plans to make anymore?
how do I get my mouse to move the camera view left right? I can spin it with the right mouse, but the left mouse doesn't work.
Hopefully a part 3! Question, is there a tool I can use in meshmixer where let's say for instance I want to bend the bunny ear down or in a certain direction without completely ruining the mesh geometry?
The meshmixer sculpting tools are great for pulling material out, but what if you want to push material in, like a negative draw tool? Say you want to add a groove down an otherwise flat surface, how would you do that? Is that even possible in meshmixer?
hold ctrl while doing it
Why do these tutorial videos have such low volume?!
thank you
Hi, I would like to know if you could help me. when using the sculpt option the cursor turns black, this does not allow me to clearly see the work done by the brush. Do you know why this failure can occur?
We can't hear you! Turn up your mic!
Excelente tutorial, explicações muito claras, fáceis de entender, parabéns pelo seu trabalho. Obrigado
Hey man, nice video, we tried your tips here, and maan, awsome! this software is really good, and the creature that are borning here are awsome too, thanks for your videos man, really good job. We are liking and sharing here. Go on with your job. Really nice
Good video. Thanks again.
Excellent tool by tool demonstration. Thank you
why not show something more useful as example like drawing geometric patterns, like cubes & rectangles & cylinders for example? Does the software allow for this or do i have to choose shapes from the library only?
Top !
Thanks for the video - This is really neat stuff! Question, please...Can segmented patterns be developed for a surface and then each be printed onto paper? Say, rather than a 3D printed model, I want to make a large scale plywood or steel rabbit for my grandkids, just not so smooth but still recognizable. By that I mean if I start from a downloaded animal file in Meshmaker, can I use the reduce tool you explained here to create a bunch of flat shapes that will fit together, THEN be able to print out each of those surface shapes onto paper to copy onto my material?
This may be a little to much but you could possibly use a slicer like cura as if you were going to 3d print it and make the layer high tall so you can get an idea of the shapes
Really very useful......well explained ..thanx man
thanks!
Thank you for making this video to the point with brief, but clear, examples of each tool. It made learning quick and easy!
Great video! Is there a tool that not only moves a part (like you did with the bunny head), but also rotates it? Basically, "bending" a part a certain angle?
You can select the head of the bunny (draw around it or paint it) then choose "convert to open part". That will add it to the selection of Meshmix items in "My Parts". Delete the head from the rabbit with "erase and fill." Now select your Meshmix head from "My Parts" and drag it into place. Actually, I find it easier to put it somewhere else on the rabbit, and then slide it over to the neck area. When you have it in place, enlarge it either using the menu panel, or you can use the pivot control below the rabbit head. Once it is the right size, shift it and turn it to get it centered. Now click on the small oval that is on the control icon and it will make 2 angle control sticks appear that can make the head angle back and forth, and side to side while leaving the neck attached in place. It may make some wrinkling or distort the face a bit, but you can usually play around with it and smooth those issues out. I did one where the rabbit appears to be sleeping with his head tilted onto his shoulder.
