Total Eclipse - Path of Totality (from a cloudless Monument, Oregon campground)
Просмотров 536 лет назад
This is a still video, taken from a campground in Monument, Oregon, on Aug, 21, 2017, before and after the eclipse. Monument was in the "path of totality". The camera is pointed at the hills below (but not directly at) the sun, so, while a viewer won't see the actual eclipse, a viewer will see its effects. The most interesting part of the video starts around the 17-minute mark. It's cool to jum...

At first I did not believe it was a factory option until I checked my book. It is true. a 1960 Plymouth convenience option was a "RCA Automatic record player, radio mandatory" The option is listed at $52.00. Nice video , thanks for posting. It is always fun to see these old options
If that's a Highway Hi Fi player by Columbia how is he able to play a 45 rpm record on it? I thought they only played 16 2/3 rpm records. I suppose the motor can be modified to play different speeds.
Because it is not a Highway HiFi. Highway HiFi only lasted until the 1958 model year. In 1960 a 45RPM changer Was optional on Plymouths, but the pictured unit is NOT a changer. Aftermarket 45RPM players for cars were made, and the one in the video almost certainly is one.
Do you have the record set and case for this? Just curious to see it if you do. I know where one is located with records.
are these pretty skip-resistant? after all, it's gotta be able to play while the car is moving...
Exactly! I have the correct RCA Victor model in my 1960 Plymouth Fury. It plays 14 45's upside down in a stack through the radio. This model was offered in 1960/61.
i have on my 1960 Plymouth Fury that holds 14 45s upside down in a stack and plays through the radio. this one looks like mid 50s earlier model that was offered. Am I wrong?
Lawrence Welk had one in his car in an ad.
How many of you iPod Morons know what a record player is? How many of you iPod Morons know that the record on the record player is 45 rpm and what that means? How many of you iPod Morons know how a vinyl record player produces sound? That’s what I thought.
To be fair, how much do you know about gramophones lol. Technology changes so fast and people are more likely to know about the gadgets that they grew up with.
That is a Highway HI FI player but it was an option for 1956 and 1957 Chrysler products. The correct player for the 60 Plymouth would be the RCA Victor AP1 that played a stack of 45 RPM records not the 16 2/3 rpm player
He also didn't show how the Badgers lost, but you can't show everything sometimes.
You forgot to show how the Badger fans gave you the mock clap then upstaged you at your own tradition.
haha this is great! I was sitting right behind you!!
Great Duck win, just goes to show you that the difference between victory and defeat is very small sometimes. Huskies suck!
this is the most awesomest video of all time, ducks rule!! Suck it badgers! Hey dawgs, when was the last time you won a rose bowl?
awesome!
this is the most awesome amazing clip of all time. the most improbable ending to an autograph session.
Nice. I was just researching this in Standard Catalog of American Cars 1946-1975.
