Traynor YSR-1 demo
Traynor YSR-1 is a Canadian amp from the 70s, that can sound Fendery or Marshally depending on the context, though it has a bit of its own thing going on.
The circuit is somewhere in between Tweed Bassman and JTM-45 or Plexi. It has two channels that can be used by itself or be linked together for more versatility.
It is hard to cover everything in a single video as the amp is very versatile with various cabinets and IRs, so I focused on the settings that I do when play for fun or do songwriting sessions.

Can't bielive I haven't seen this video. I'm always looking for these soundtests. Had one for about 30yrs. Incredible amp!! Great video, very nicely done. About to do a demo on mine and was just happy there's something new. The Guitologist has a very good vid on this amp. Greatest amp ever made IMO.
I actually asked him in the comments many years ago about that amp model before buying one myself. Glad you like the video!
Good Demo. Thank you. I have the YSR-1 with the original 4x10 inch Traynor cab, with original speakers. "Great amp", would be an understatement. Pete knew what he was doing. Beautiful build quality. --- I love mine.
I would like to try one of the original cabinets myself. People bash the original speakers (Marsland IIRC), but I still would like to try them anyway

Want this one so bad, its on another level. YBA-1 is awesome but this guy is super great too with verb and trem.
Reverb and trem are not Fendery though, but cool in their own way. However if you prefer playing with gain I'd probably recommend YBA-1. It is smaller in size and has controls for mid and presense (sort of). If you prefer getting your gain from pedals both will do the job.

@@thorinbane played both in the 00s in rehearsal spaces. Owned modern rendition of Sovtek Mig50 Tube Midget (JCM800 clone) - very cool amp, but very different to Traynor in many ways.
