This is one video where the house cat effectively got some sports exercise which they actually liked... instead of getting silly masks put on or something, which is really scary to them. I believe with some training, your Maine Coon can jump even higher... I also liked that you used toilet paper, so the cat wouldn't get hurt, when hitting it. 👍

This is because the cat doesn't like the whiskers touching the bowl. It is called whisker fatigue. They need their food on a flat surface.

My boys are exactly the same. Buster the Nebelung puts his giant paws in my mouth round about 8 AM. Then his little brother Thurgood nudges his razor claws in my face half an hour later. No alarm clock needed :))

Thanks for this! We have road traveled a lot with our cat (a very similar Norwegian Forest), moving every 2-3 days. I also bring him with me to my office a couple of times a week. A short road trip but he keep used to the car. I approve everything you said but, may I add a few tips based on our experience? 1) Get your cat used to a leash and harness at an early age. It is absolutely useful when traveling to avoid adding another source of stress! 2) Also, get him used to having a GPS around his neck all the time (on a separate collar from the leash!). If it gets away from you once, it can be an extremely stressful experience. There are GPS with a SIM designed for cats that work in every country in the world. 3) On long trips, when he starts meowing, stop asap in a quiet area, away from people, possibly green and wooded, and let him/her walk for a good half hour. He usually gets so tired that he sleeps in the car for the next 3-4 hours. That said, my experience is that sometimes it's fine, he even seems to enjoy watching the world go by out the window (mine always stands at the back window looking back). Other times less so. Also better highways than roads with lots of curves. That's my personal experience. Not sure it applies to many other cats...

My Maine Coon cat has a garden and a forest at her disposal and is a perfectly content predator. It is much more pleasant for a big cat than prolonged boredom in an apartment
