    I went there in 2003. It was paradise. I stayed at two beaches that at the tie were called Sunset and Moondance. Perhaps renamed now as I can't find them online. Curious whether it's now Been developed and is Tanote Bay. Basically if you are standing on chalok ban kao beach and facing out to see you would turn right and walk around the headland and there it was. Is this Tanote bay, or perhaps its still a secret - but I doubt it!

      @alrightanton 12 дней назад

      Oh 2003, it must've been a quite different place back then! But not too much. It has clearly grown and developed but I wouldn't say it over commercialised to the extent of being unattractive for adventurous travellers. I suppose its distance and size kinda helps it, you can'ts plant an airport there and it doesn't seem to have that much of space for a massive infrastructure to supporort some grand resort. There is a hope that it might stay like this for some time!

    Good on you for staying out of the water in Oslorb. We didn't go either. Much better to head to Malapascua and go diving with the Thresher Sharks there. Or head to Moalboal to dive or snorkel with a million sardines!

      100% I am currently working on a video about Moalboal! Great place! Did you guys do canyoneering too? That was pretty exciting. Malapascua was amazing too. Such a lovely little island to explore! And yeah I did 3 dives there, first hoping to see a tiger shark - unfortunately nothing! And then saw about 3 thresher sharks - ubelievable creatures!

      I’d say that it didn’t feel more “dangerous” than any other place in Thailand. A rule of thumb is that you have to be careful and vigilant when you’re on holidays. Tourist areas attract all sorts of people unfortunately. I was on my own in Koh Tao and stayed for about a week and the place felt super safe for me. I guess if I’d been getting drunk all the time and harassing locals I’d probably would’ve got into trouble but I think this would happen anywhere really, not just in Koh Tao… The island is lovely and it would be a shame to miss it because of all this bad rep

    Did you know that this is an island that was used to imprison political prisoners before becoming a tourist attraction?Next time if you guys have a chance to come here, please exchange connections with me. I am Thai and ready to make new friends and serve my fellow tourists. It is good and safe to have a kind Thai like me to serve you. 😁😁😁

      Oh thanks a lot! I started getting a feeling that with this video I went a bit too far into being critical and negative about Cebu haha! I'm very slow in making these videos so if you happen to go to the Philippines before my next video gets released my short recommendation is: Moalboal is a must! Awesome kanyoneering, great snorkelling! Bantayan island is okay, but Malapascua island felt much better! If you get to choose between these two - go for Malapascua and you won't regret it!

      Yeah it did feel a little bit too reserved for me too. I was not sure why was that. My theory was that because I was a new guest, and they felt rather cautious about some young man staying in their hotel. Also I thought maybe that was their thing, that they would keep their distance and let people mind their own business there…

    The world has become a more dangerous place. Being in OSlob has made them safer. Yeah you can say UN said this said that but you can't control the poachers 24/7. I'd rather have them in Oslob "PROTECTED and FED" by the locals. SO MUCH about I wanna see them in their natural habitat BLAH BLAH BLAH. Look around you, THIS WORLD HAS BECOME MORE DANGEROUS for humans, how much more for these beautiful creatures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

    • @alrightanton
      @alrightanton 25 дней назад

      I'm afraid I can't agree with you here. If Oslob really cared about whale sharks they would arrange a national reserve, witha restricted access to people and ensure that whale sharks are not bothered with the human presence. What is happening in Oslob is basically an abuse of sharks for the tourists entertainment. The whole system is created to bring the tourists in to swim with those sharks and it has nothing to do with the sharks' wellbeing. Just do a reasearch and learn more about it. If we really want to see these animals in the future - these feedings need to stop.

    • @gata_salvaje69

      @@alrightanton I'm afraid I can't agree with you here. Having them in Oslob is a reminder that the OPEN SEA is NO LONGER SAFE for them. It's not like what it is used to. You can keep preaching about having them in natural reserve BLAH BLAH BLAH. But the sad reality is that it is NO LONGER SAFE in the Open Sea (Please do your research). The Local Government is ensuring that the whale sharks are not abused. The guidelines are reiterated every time a visitor comes to the area and anyone who goes against it is penalized and banned for good. The whale sharks are only there for a limited time each. Just so know. They're strictly not allowed to do OVERTIME! The whole system is created to bring awareness to the locals and the tourists that the world has changed so much that putting them back in the open water will only endanger them (Please, do your research!!!!!)

    • @alrightanton
      @alrightanton 25 дней назад

      I must disappoint you but these sharks ARE in the open sea. They only come to Oslob because they are attracted by the fishermen who feed them for the pure joy of thousands of tourists who come to see them there. This fun entertainment ruins the sharks’ natural habitat pattern, they get fed with the food they are not supposed to eat, they get used to boats and later get hurt, they get used to people and later get hunted and eaten I understand some people may want to take photos with them. Or live in an illusion that if you feed an animal you automatically help it. But in reality the further the people are from the animals the better. And Oslob fisherman seem to have little to no care to these sharks. How else could you explain that they allow thousands of tourists swim around them, touch them and ruin their natural habitat?

    • @gata_salvaje69

      @@alrightantonI must disappoint you but these sharks ARE having the time of their lives away from poachers. They only come to Oslob because they are loved by the fishermen who feed them for the pure joy of thousands of tourists who come to see them there and learn more about them. This awareness allows both locals and visitors how to better care for marine life which includes the whale sharks. The local government of Oslob briefs the fishermen and the visitors on how to behave around the whale sharks. STOP accusing Oslob fishermen of having little to no care for these sharks. You clearly have no idea how much they care for these lovely creatures. They are treated with love and respect just like every creature. STOP spreading misinformation about how the whale sharks are treated in Oslob. The local government has stringent guidelines in dealing with the whale sharks. Potentially you do, but good luck with finding where to do it and that probably won’t save you if the police doesn’t like you filming in the place they get you. The crime involving the Westerners was terrible indeed. The way the case was handled didn't help Thailand's overall image either. It's unfortunate that the Western couple had that happen to them, but many of the Thai locals, including Thai lawyers, also pressured the Thai government about the handling of the case as well. Bad characters exist everywhere. Similar crimes happen in places like Belize, Bahamas, and Hawaii. Koh Tao didn't deserve the sensationalized bad press it received. It's a safe place overall. Foreigners just need to be aware and careful, but not fearful. Don't put yourself at extra risk by getting shit-faced drunk. Don't wander around into desolate places at night. Basically, don't forget common sense; especially in places where you're a foreigner.

      Yup totally agree with this. Bad things happen everywhere unfortunately. You need to be careful and avoid doing stupid reckless things. You might be lucky once, twice, but for the twentieth time something can happen. Koh Tao overall was just lovely. The people there were nice and kind. It’s really beautiful and there’s a lot to explore. Would be a shame to miss it just because of those stories.

    Hi Alright Anton, I'm watching a lot of videos about Hoi An, Ha Giang, Ninh Binh. There are some great videos and yours is one of them, I'm surprised why it doesn't have many views. You have great nature shots, the video quality is so good. If this video was made 10 years ago, I'm sure it was gold so everyone would give you 10 points. I've watched most of your videos, unfortunately you don't have many views and subscribers. Ok, everyone has a different opinion, this is just my personal opinion, it can help you create more attractive videos. 1. Your videos are too short, we are always disappointed when we watch videos that are less than 20 minutes, please make videos of 40-50 minutes. 2. You should interact with the audience more, interact with the locals more to create attraction and experience for others. Actually I will take 7-8 minutes from the Ha Giang loop video into a new 40 minute video, I need more footage. 3. The music in this video is quite good, however you should choose music that creates excitement or emotion for the audience, pay attention to the audience commenting on what the music at minute xxx is called. 4. Create an engaging story when interacting with local people, it leaves a deep impression on you and the audience, even many viewers ask you to come back and meet those people. This is a video of a Vietnamese tour guide for a Danish group by motorbike, I think his video skills are not as good as yours but I like such realistic scenes in the video. ruclips.net/video/Y99V80ell3g/видео.html Try to watch the whole video because it has many interesting scenes, this is a tour near Hagiang loop, from Bac Ha to Ba Be lake. I think you can absolutely create a million-view video like Hagiang loop, the advantage here is the breathtaking scenery and dangerous route. To do that, I think you need to make at least 3 more videos about Hagiang loop, the same route but with different situations. Then you combine the 3 videos above and this video to create a video, don't hesitate to hire a reliable consultant if necessary. I think you can create a legacy, a masterpiece for you, for the world, for Vietnam and your children. Of course, you will have to stay in Hagiang for 1 month. Don't hesitate to post all 3 videos above, you need the audience's opinion. Then you can delete all 4 videos and post only 1 final video. Good luck. Please note I am not a media service or any other service, just commenting on content that may be useful to you.

      Hi Ngo Thuat thank you for your detailed comment, this is probably the longest and the most informative comments I’ve ever had on this channel. I really appreciate your view and attention to my channel. As for the duration of the videos it’s a tricky one. I try to make my videos coherent and interesting to watch and I don’t let them drag and slow down too much. You might see that over the course of the years the videos have become longer and longer. Initially they’d be only 5-6 minutes, now they expand to 15-16 minutes. This is a natural process and I think the further I go the more informative and interesting the videos will become but I feel this shouldn’t be forced too much. But I agree about the interactions. This is one of the things that I want to do in the future. My first goal is to speak more when I am in the location, I have recently been doing it quite a bit. And the further it goes the more frequently it will become. And probably the next stage will be interactions but that’s a whole new skill for me so I imagine this might take time for sure😂 My main issue is that I am quite slow in making these videos and RUclips just doesn’t like it when you post videos only once a month. They want you to post every week and then you will get attention. Otherwise it will be like in my situation. Consistent but very slow growth

      @@alrightanton I understand what you mean, actually all famous youtubers need 1-3 years to accumulate experience, even if you just make videos to keep as memories. RUclips and many other platforms require you to post regularly, interact with the audience to maintain the attraction of the channel. It's okay, you can post 1 video every 1-3 months. I have a tip for you: Create short videos (videos shorter than 1 minute) not too short (better than 45s - 58s). If you stay in Ha Giang long enough, I'm sure you can create hundreds of short videos, schedule at least 1 short video per week and you'll have 100 weeks and not have to worry about RUclips's rules. And so you don't have to feel pressured and spend time making a great video. Make 5 great videos rather than hundreds of normal videos. If in Vietnam, I think it must be Ha Giang, I'm not sure about other countries because there are a lot of videos now, the competition is very high. You can't make videos like others. If you have time, edit the short video into 4 different videos (edit a little to avoid Google's duplication error, then post it on tiktok, insta, facebook reels), it will be very valuable because it has views very quickly. I forgot a little, you have to create a really attractive thumbnail (find keywords and watch other youtubers' thumbnails, especially hot videos), extract the most attractive parts and insert them at the beginning of the video (30s).

    • @alrightanton
      @alrightanton Месяц назад

      Yeah thumbnail is something I’m actively working on. Maybe you noticed my channel is a lot focus on esthetics. I don’t want just to be viral , I want to gain followers and reputation through making high standard videos. When it comes to thumbnails I try to choose the best shots I could find but yeah I feel there still some work to be done. Previously I used to keep the best shots for the middle part of the video, now yeah, I just throw everything that I have in the first part and then carry on. It does seem to work better. With Ha Giang… Oh I’ll be back to it at some point. Maybe actually in December this year. Maybe there will be a follow up. It’s such a beautiful place. I miss it. As for short videos there is a back side of it. If RUclips notices that I post too many videos that don’t get enough views it will just stop promoting my videos. It happened before when I did some shorts. I really don’t wanna spam with videos. This can easily backfire

      Hmmm that’s a tricky one. I know some people loved living Ba Dinh district, more of a government area, still quiet and peaceful. Some people would move to Cau Giay district with some high rise buildings. Defo not my choice. Other would live in Eco Park which is probably the closest possible to the concept of “tranquil residential area”. It’s a bit outside of Hanoi, but the vibes are totally different. Hey Rudy! Hope things are going well in my beloved Malaysia! You can fly to Vietnam with a drone with no problems. I’ve tested this myself multiple times, you shouldn’t have any challenges with that. SaPa is a wonderful place to fly a drone though you might have difficulties at Fansipan. The top of the mountain is sorta “owned” by a VinPearl company and they don’t really like drones. I was there in December and tried to launch a drone from the top and was immediately surrounded by security shouting “no drones!” The top of the mountain is rather spacious so I’m the end I moved a little bit lower to a place with no people and launched a drone. No one seemed to care there. As long as I wasn’t annoying anyone it was fine. The winds are quite strong so you better have a bigger drone to fly at the top of the mountain.

    А як ти завозив дрона до В'єтнаму, гугл каже що дрони конфіскують в аеропорту й повертають коли виїжджаєш з країни? Чи це вже застаріла інфа, чи стосується лише деяких аеропортів?

    • @alrightanton

      Я чув що десь десять років тому так і робили , але зараз з розвитком технологій і доступністю цих дронів ніхто вже не звертає уваги. Я багато разів літав по Вʼєтнаму і з Вʼєтнаму і назад і ніхто ніколи не звертав на дрон уваги взагалі

      Я шостий рік тут живу і три роки літаю дрони всюди де завгодно , сам бачиш на каналі, і ніхто ніколи нічого. Тут така справа. Офіційно правила у Вʼєтнамі дуже сурові і здається повністю по закону літати дрон тут не можно. Хоча хто його зна. Але є такі чутки. В той же час цим правилам мало хто слідує і зазвичай всі роблять що хочуть. Я не літаю напроти поліції. Вони дуже раді будуть доколупатися тільки б кишенькові гроші отримати. А так загалом всім однаково. Дрони у Вʼєтнамі легально продаються і придбати їх легше легкого.
