Can we stop calling it heroin?! We are not dealing with heroin and we won't be ever again. From here on out it will be Fentanyl exclusively or eventually nitazines. Because synthetics are far easier to create to modify and ultimately traffic. When you can make a kilo of whatever substance extremely potent it is extremely easy to get that across the border or wherever you need to go and then break that down into multiple thousands of kilo's. Under capitalism you definitely cannot prohibit something but you most certainly are not going to do it when there's a financial incentive capitalism is by far the ultimate Force multiplier or lubricant for crime. But there's a lot of money on both sides of this particular issue and neither side wants to give in if we Legalize It that puts the dealers out of business. And it shuts down the police's inflated budget and it hurts the rehab cartel. I'm not going to get into the whole legalization issue but if that was my route that I was to go say I was in charge it wouldn't be as simple as legalization. But again I say stop calling it heroin if we had ended the drug war when it was still heroin we would have almost a million people still in our lives. Amongst many many many many many many other things. As We know it's far too late

I’m in it deep today. Been fighting this since august of 2020. Never touched it until I was handed a little baggie from my partner of 10 yrs. Puked my guts up. But that was that. I’ve withdrawn so many times at home I couldn’t even count them at this point, and it’s *only* been (almost) 5 yrs. FIVE YEARS!! Seeing that number makes me sick. Lost my job last March (layoff), have been unemployed with no purpose since. Can’t even get an interview now bc of the year gap in this competitive employment world today. My (narc) partner knows I’m down bad and told me I have until Saturday to get out of my own house. A house I found and secured 5 years ago as of may 1st. He’s turned his entire family against me (2 adult kids who are both addicts themselves along with his 82 yr old father whom I take care of like he’s my own- with no help from anyone). He lies on me. Accuses me of cheating. And has now decided to do what I couldn’t do for myself- kicking me out at my lowest. It can _ALWAYS_ get worse. Withdrawal come Saturday will damn near kill me. The dust on the street today 3 yrs after this vid was put out) isn’t even capable of being dealt with as far as detox or withdrawal comfort drugs are concerned. Anyway, I’m terrified but life can only get better. Just gonna suffer for the next many month/year until I get back to sobriety as far as this specific substance is concerned. I’m the dangerous kind of addict… _highly functional_ and the fact is… no one can sustain that “title” forever. God help me. But… it’s time.

I used heroin for 3 years, I remember wanting to get clean so bad and going to my ex’s house to detox. I’d be pulling for days and days until I couldn’t take it any longer and relapse over and over again. I use to be so high, nodding off at work in a closet. I think my run lasted as long as it did because I had no supervision at work and my rent was so cheep, landlord was old and he’d forget allot that we didn’t pay him the full amount. After a totaled car and a DUI, I knew it was time to get help. After losing relationships I cared about and losing myself. Two years later I have my license back, my record wiped and I’ve gotten my degree in ASL.

If the criminal aspect was taken out of the equation and use was monitored and decriminalized do you believe the addiction would continue or end? My example is my own cannabis use history. If I knew I was supposed to use CBD only and not psychoactive cannabis I probably would not smoke at all? It was the toxic nature that forced me to stop. The prosecution only showed how poor a community is. I already knew that? Using tactics before education is ignorant. Yes, behavior modification exists but I have a mother and father for that. I don't need a stranger threatening a visit or like you mentioned a lowering. That is all those clinics do to stay in business?

The revered Honda J-series engine, coupled with a meticulously designed 9-speed transmission, epitomizes reliability, predictability, and accountability in automotive performance. This time-tested powerhouse has earned its stripes as a stalwart in the automotive realm, boasting a track record of dependability that stands the test of time. Matched seamlessly with the 9-speed transmission, it delivers power with precision, offering drivers a seamless and responsive driving experience. What sets this combination apart is not just its mechanical prowess but the symphony it orchestrates under the hood. The unmistakable growl emitted when the pedal meets the floor isn't just noise; it's a testament to the real muscle propelling the vehicle forward. Contrary to some misconceptions, this engine's roar isn't an annoyance but rather a cherished hallmark of its potency. In fact, many discerning reviewers hail it as a positive attribute, recognizing it as the heartbeat of a truly dynamic driving experience.

Thanks for the short review. Glad your enjoying it. FYI they do offer an AWD but not in the hybrid. Of course rumors are its coming possibly as soon as 2025. If your getting 33.7 most likely your driving a lot of highway or 2 lane highway that was in the video. In that particular setting there is not that much difference in fuel economy compared to the ecoboost vs hybrid. Where the hybrid shine is city driving. Even then if your not putting a lot of mileage on the odometer it still may not pay because of the additional $1500 that the hybrid cost. Anyway, appreciate the video

The root cause of all addictions is the feeling of unworthiness. An addict is a person who deals with heavy feelings of unworthiness and this leads to not only the need to numb out their pain, but also to punish themselves for not being enough. Shadow work is key to getting over it.

heroin abuse is not new, it was going on in the 60s and 70s, but it just was not common, hell ray charles was addicted to heroin in the 50s, these harder drugs were not as common, but it was done, but it tended to stay in certain circles, but over time heroin and other opioids spread like wild fire, started slowly growing then exploded and now we have towns like kensington, Camden, Detroit, L.A , san fran, that have large portions of them have turned pretty much into zombieland. not to mention the small towns and isolated areas like the Ozarks and Appalachia areas.

The guy talking about poverty was spot on. When it was black kids in the ghetto addicted to crack cocaine in the 80's, the issue was criminalized and they were thrown in prison with lengthy sentences. Some of them are still there, learning how to be better criminals. The ones who got out went on to become even bigger addicts/alcoholics unless they sought treatment on their own or were eventually mandated. Mandating treatment usually doesn't work that well after someone has been repeatedly criminalized for their addiction, though. Now, though, there are wealthy suburban kids dying, so everyone is concerned and it's being treated like what it is - a disease. While I'm not disputing the severity of the opioid crisis - I'm in recovery from heroin and fentanyl addiction myself, and at one point I was strictly using fentanyl and I'm grateful I found recovery before I found prison or the morgue - I do think it's ironic and awful that it took 40 years for people to recognize that being addicted is not a choice or a criminal activity. I do wonder, however, what the percentage is of inner city kids referred to treatment court as opposed to suburban kids of means.

There are some drugs that are absolutely horrendous but some drugs are what we need to maintain. Every sector of society does drugs it’s just that those with means get them from their doctors and do their drugs inside their homes by just swallowing them. Street pharmacist provide an essential job and fill a void left from our lack of care for each other. No healthcare or mental health services leads to greater chances of self medication and if it were not for the social stigma and criminality most people would be able to behave in ways that are not detrimental to society while high. Not everyone will and alot will go overboard but this issue will NEVER GO AWAY. So we must regulate it, get rid of the stigma, decriminalize it, and fund healthcare and addiction services from the taxes we collect from selling and distributing safe medications. I believe that 100 years from now the drugs we use 13:43 today as “bad” will find their uses within society with future pharmacology advancing to the point that alot of the negative side effects will no longer be present. When one is shunned and alienated from society it causes what was just drug use to change one into someone that has to sneak, lie, hide, etc. EVERYTHING can be addictive. Imagine if those who sky dived were shunned and treated as if they were criminals. They would turn into different people because they would do things society thinks is wrong just so they could enjoy life the way they want to and jump out of planes. I know that sky diving and drug use are vastly different but the things we are willing to do to enjoy life and escape from the pains of living and suffering include doing that which others deem detrimental. 19:20 Even the police is sniffing his own farts because he actually thinks that arresting people is a good thing because addicts have thanked him. Maybe a few have but they are victims of a system whose only solution to addiction is the legal system. Believe me, if there were multiple ways that our government provided its citizens the chance to become productive members of society then the last choice anyone would choose is to go to prison. If we chopped off the hands of addicts it’s reasonable to assume some would become sober. And just because they thank the chef who sliced off his hand does not mean that chopping off the hands of addicts is a reasonable and justifiable action to take to help our fellow humans come back from the brink.
