Pretty much the largest and closest beach to the DC area and has good amenities including a large boat ramp but be warned, Sandy point is normally closed down at least a couple days every year due to very bad water quality. Avoid swimming in the bay at all for a couple days after any large rain.

My alligator had a mental breakdown watching this😭

I was just there last week with my wife and kids. I used to go there with my parents when I was a kid as well. Now they have a fully shaded area that allows you to be both in the shade and close to the water all day ! Just make sure you get there early and to bring mosquito spray. You can set up a grill and they have hot coals pits so you can dump your hot coals. Park rangers walk around handing out trash bags which helps keep the park clean. Its a great beach

I remembered when I saw it for the first time around 2005. The only difference back when I first saw it was that there would be audio recording of the elephant, where it would growl, rumble, or trumpet, they took that out when I went back at around 2008.

Great video. I was there today , such a beautiful place.

I went to that location for the first time ever today. I got the 12 pc chicken deal with fries, mash potato, and adobo rice. I will say that I was not impressed. The adobo rice lacked flavo, the fries were the same as McDonalds, and the mashed potatoes were ok. Sad part is the drink is not included in the $30 meal. I probably could have gone by w/o the drink had I known the sodas were flat.
