The Treasure Hole
Нидерланды
Добавлен 10 сен 2019
Hi, I'm Martijn.
I'm an animator and 1/3 of Pegbarians.
In my spare time, I like to make LARP weapons.
Sometimes I record it and upload it to this channel.
Sometimes I don't feel like making something.
What I'm trying to say is: If you were hoping for frequent uploads, you're in the wrong hole!

Kinda late to the party here but your narrating is brilliant, and your work is inspiring, wish you made more videos, or wrote a sitcom🤷
Thank you. That was very helpful.
Great video, i appreciate playful self-deprecation. Jolly good, and great information!
This is awesome. Great sense of humor on top of the wonderfully clear instructions, and great music.
finally some larp painting without a spray gun ;w; oddly hard to find, thank you for showing your process!
in my experience its the fiberglass swords that snap and the PVC ones are the ones that go trough a lot of abuse without any issues...
Cool!
Thanks for share
Are graphite tubes the same as carbon fiber tubes?
working on a larp glaive based on my dnd character, i love these videos! when i first watched this i thought "well i will simply just leave it to dry"... i start painting, INSTANTLY the hairdrier is out. too real. i wanna make a video about making the weapon too :D urs have been the most helpful of any i've watched c:
anychance you would share that print off for the axe head. the build looks amazing by the way
Absolute redder in nood. Ik had geen idee waar ik de isoflex vandaan zou moeten halen of wat de alternatieven zijn thnx!
hot glue can make for great composite material; just with some hot glue and popsicle sticks I've made some things that are absurdly sturdy, like I make things as toys for my sister's kids but I don't want to give them some of these things out of fear they'll hospitalize each other trying to break it, which they will try to do.
Jesus I love this video its too funny
What a great intro to weapon creation.
This is very good advice. Whoever did your video editing did you a diservice though - the text edits correcting or commenting takes away from the general authenticness of your video in a way. Don't sweat the small stuff, quirkiness is good
You have very good advice on making larp weapons. I will have to try some of your ideas.
This is incredible and so inspiring!! Really can't thank you enough for sharing this process. I will be on the lookout should you ever feel like sharing more content or re-opening the Etsy store.
Thak you wery much 😊
Dang, I watched the first video without captions, and I seem to have missed out.
You sir, need to make more videos, cannot find as good content anywhere! it actually got me to craft weapons also. Now I got whole collection of Skyrim swords!
Good skills, good results, good teaching and good humor. You have my axe
What about a bamboo chute?
Didn’t he say no wood? But I mean, could make a good core.
Cool video man, it would be cool to put the mane material in the tittle.
Clean it with FIRE!!!
how do you go about removing the parts from the graphite pole golf club/walking stick that you dont want for example the metal head of the golf club?
Sorry for the late reply, I didn't realise people actually watch these videos! First of all: WEAR GLOVES AND GOGGLES when cutting golf clubs! They're usually made of carbon fibre, which results in teeny tiny splinters that will get stuck in your skin and are near impossible to remove. They will literally stay there for months and itch like hell. To cut off the head, I used an old iron saw. Something with fine teeth will do fine. Take your time and be safe!
Thank you thank you thank you. Really informative and entertaining.
do you have any alternative sealants?
My family has been making larp weapons for personal use for years. We used bamboo we grew ourselves as a core and stuffed them into pool noodles and completely wrapped it in duct tape.
I would say PVC tubes are recomended for stuff like axes, mace's or even spears, i usually do It like that...
These Dry opening joke earn my subscription. love it. Also very good technique. Me as a german always find something to complain but I didnt find anything here. Amazing.
Very nice job!
Just found this, thank you so much for the content!
16:19 😏
I will say the lower the density foam the harder sanding is
Thanks for the great content! These three videos are on the top of my list of instructions.I love the axe and your process is very similar to mine, so I find it very useful. I have one important question, though. In our larp training locking your opponent's weapon with the beard of the axe happens too often and the instinct is to pull. I've ripped the blades of more than one training axes. So I am still experimenting and looking for the perfect solution. So, does the reinforcement at the bottom of the blade workq such as it is - with just a strip of fabric?
Oh very nice tutorial ! Thank you so much :D
and is there a way to do an edge without having a sander?
Hoi Martijn. Leuke en duidelijke videos. Ik ga binnenkort met mijn neefjes naar het Imaginarium festival en dan hebben we natuurlijk wapens nodig. Bedankt voor de tips.
Hey new here. What kind of paint should be used with the latex?
Im going to larp camp for 10 days so this is really usefull to me
This is high quality content you published. Even if I wouldn't be interested in larp weapon building, it was just amusing watching you. Aaand I really want to build CHEAP stuff hahah :D thank you a lot for this video
this guy is great
Be glad you don't have Amazon there... Hope y'all never do
Toes! Great build!
Dit is gewoon een reclame voor action Hou van je videos
Gwn Nederlander ziek man
Im german, so I understandet a bit. XD
This series is one of the best I've ever seen in terms of quality and content, and it has helped me a lot. Your video in Dutch has also helped me a lot, because we are currently using urecoat as sealant but it is a serious pain in the bollocks. Shame the videos stopped :(
