Totally understand that you sometimes have to handle those emotional days. My grandson Russell is inviting his brother Patrick and wife to his house for Thanksgiving day…he sent out a family text including his dad and myself. Before this accident we were scheduled to have our Thanksgiving on the 29th as Emily always helps her mom on Thanksgiving day. I just can’t bring myself to want to be there with Cheryl in the hospital. They do plan a get together this Friday to celebrate my birthday (Wednesday 27th) at my house….so I think I will be happy with seeing them all together then. 😏 Patrick and Erin will be going back to Cedarville Sunday..

Is the time on your gizmo correct? some days you say it’s morning and sometimes you say it’s barely morning, lol. I know it bad to frog the sleeve, but it’s good you will have extra yarn for the hood. It’s a chilly day but it’s beautiful in the sun. Sorry you’re not sleeping week. Perfect match on the stripes! I finished my daughter's birthday sweater. After I blocked it I thought it looked like it wasn't going to fit her. I was so nervous when she tried it on. Perfect fit, and she loved it! Good job Barbara on finishing your sweater! ❤😁

If you place the decreases next to each other, you may have a noticeable jog, a sort of stair step instead of a smooth line. I learned this the hard way.

Silly question is any of the mail for your father relative or mass mailings? If it’s the later I’d simply file 13 it and not bother transferring address. Contact relative info directly with updated address. Change of address is only good for a specific amount of time anyway.

I’m so with you on the 8:00PM blah. I contribute a lot of it to the early darkness. You also have had huge life changes that don’t just recover from on a time schedule. If I were going to have a fire it would be in the evening as well. Simply because I’d want to be able to sit and enjoy it. Earlier would be a waste as I’d be moving about the house doing various things. An extra evening session of yoga might also help relax you before bed. Something to consider. I’ve been watching General Hospital for about 50 years. We DVR it so I can watch it at night. Sometimes I wonder why I do but I never stop. LOL

Well, I got moved to a rehab facility in Lacie, WA. A surburb of Olympia. It seems nice. I will most likely for only a week.

I don’t watch TV during the day either. It was my upbringing that one did their “work” during the day and was rewarded by getting to watch a show in the evening after dishes were done. I do listen to the radio often, I will, like you watch videos but on my computer because I don’t think about the television in that way! Sounds like a bit of depression coming on and that’s okay also. As long as you get up in the mornings, call on us to chat. I usually don’t knit after 8 pm. My eyes can’t take it and that is when I play my computer games….I head for bed about 9-930pm. I often listen to soothing music or medication programs on Insight Timer to assist me in going to sleep. Hubby watches the television any chance he can get and becomes immediately into whatever show he has turned on… My Uncle and Aunt have their television on ALL the time!! Drives me nuts but then I don’t visit them often also.

You don't have to always be on the go. Even when I was young, by 7pm the kitchen was "closed" and it was time to get in pj's and relax. I've worked very hard over my lifetime, and it's okay to be "boring" in my retirement. Take care. 🤪😋❤

No snow on the ground today. It was so pretty to watch it coming down yesterday. My mom would still be watching Days of Our Lives if they hadn’t moved it to Peacock. She doesn’t have internet.

Make yourself bundle up and go for a nice long solo walk at night and feel your feels outside. All the fresh air will make you tired.

We are also in the throes of selling our Dad's house - but it's relatively straightforward, so hopefully won't be too onerous. All three of us are executors, but one sister has taken on a lot of the admin, and I'm very grateful. If a cheque comes through payable to your Dad, presumably your brother could bank it? That sweater is a beautiful color. We are having scattered snow here today. The high temp might get to 39 degrees. I went to my chair yoga class this morning and I feel so relaxed now. Such a huge task dealing with your parent's finances. My mom was in a nursing home for 7 years, she had no assets, just SS, which was taken by the nursing home. I seem to "check out" as soon as sundown starts, which seems to put me in a somber mood. Take care. 😊😂❤
