From my 60 years experience I’ll say that deer is dead within 500 yds. of where you shot hIm. Out of a hundred plus deer shot I’ve only lost one. I'm pretty new to fishing and at 2:24 while unhooking the fish i heard a noise. The same thing happened to me while unhooking a pike and it alarmed me a bit lol, was wondering if this hurts the fish at all or if it is just air escaping the swim bladder? Great content!

We love that lure & as they say when you missed that Pike twice the 3rd time was the charm & well worth getting soaked. Yea Pike slime is icky but boy are they fun to catch especially on Topwater. This may seem silly, but a SMALL drop of super glue will stop the bleeding when you get nailed as Band-Aids won't stay on & who wants to have to wear a glove the rest of the day. A Pike snag sure beats having a handful of those hooks stuck in your hand. Should you ever end up with a hook in your hand that's very bad then it's time to go back.
