      Mine was like that and I sprayed with Raptor Liner bed liner I gave it a little texture and it looks really good. I did it 3 years ago and it stays clean and I don't have to apply anything to it to make it look good. I covered the rubber hinges so they would not get painted since they need to be flexible. I only used less than 1 bottle so as to not apply too much which would make it heavier. I highly recommend it.

Front pair have 1 pin on each end I got each end started then worked to middle and there were no problems. The back one since I started on 1 side and worked accros I needed to do some sugery to get the far end to fit due to the streching as I inserted it.

      Thanks James for the Update on the 2019 / Later model cover. Pins on each end. If you can get it started in the middle that would make total sense. I guess as you go push back a little so your not stretching the seal making it longer.

    My video is now up on RUclips. All info and links are here- Sears Craftsman Shop Vac, Rigid and the brand of Shop Vac between 5 and 32 gallons before 1988 had a large (green stripe) filter that seems too not be available. These old filters were 10 inches high by 9 inches in diameter. This video talks about two options to purchase a current filter that will fit the old shop vacs with minor modifications. The replacement filter offered is on ebay and is from a company called " Felji " and the part number is 90328. LINK: www.ebay.com/itm/223690079074?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649 The second option uses this same filter and an addition O-ring from a company called " Mr. O-ring " on Amazon and the part number (size) is 431. I had another filter for other old Craftsman shop vacs on order before I found this video. There is a filter that I bought on ebay with the title of "Cartridge Filter Replacement 90328 for Shop Vac, Craftsman & Ridgid Wet/Dry Vacs". And it is 9.5 tall and 7 in diameter. Almost a drop in but the only tweak is drill a hole in the closed metal end and bump it out about 1/8 inch and kind of make a small ditch in the metal outward to stretch the filter to 9.6 inches and it then bolts right up with no modifications to the shop vac. So there is another option for our old Craftsman shop vacs. Thanks for your video.

      Hello Peggy. The best way Ive found is over your trash can pull off any lose debris then shake and bang it against the inside of your can to dislodge large objects. *Wear a mask as this is dusty and you don’t want to breath it. Use a stiff bristle brush to clean dirt out of the pleats. You can also do a final rinse with the water hose if needed but don’t brush it when wet or it can tear. Let air dry.

    • @trekOCLVone
      @trekOCLVone 2 года назад

      I take my shop vac out to the street and take out the filter. turn it sideway and bang in on the concrete and most of the Yack will will come right out. Sometimes I have to pick at the stuck in place sections. When done it is pretty clean. But now that the author of this video has shown us how to use the currently available filters I'll be replacing the filter way more often.
