When I informed a lady on the staff of The Theater Royal in Brighton that Bela Lugosi's 1951 tour of Dracula started off with 8 performances in their fair establishment, I was met with "we don't mention it in our Saturday morning tour." "Have you any idea how big this guy was?" I replied. She told me she would look into it. Frank J. Dello Stritto and Andi Brooks' wonderful book Vampire Over Lon...

Cheers Stu.
I remember it well. I also liked another series along similar lines called 'The Changes'.
I remember The Changes very well. I think it is available on DVD.
10, 10! 👉👍🙌😉
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and your lovely chat with us and I am glad last weekend went well you had a great time I am loving your chat Duncan my friend
Duncan you were saying that space 1999 clashed with Doctor who if you were watching on Lwt it would have been on Saturday morning so it would not class with the good Doctor very good video well done I have that same green eagle myself
The second season was first shown on Saturday morning in the London area but the first season was first shown in the early evening at the same time as Dr Who. A really stupid piece of scheduling.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Duncan!
You are welcome, my friend.
Chris Penfold left before the episode was finished. Gerry Anderson himself rewrote a lot of the script.
Thanks for the info Chris. It does not surprise me. Chris Penfold did tell me he had written it so I presume he was heavily involved. Great story whatever.
Hello mate very nice video Duncan thank you for lovely video well done fantastic job mate thank you mate
Bless you Stuart.
Fantastic video mate sorry it has been so long checking your video out I have loved every minute of your RUclips videos mate I will watch the other video tomorrow mate well done mate good job mate
Thank you, Duncan. Enjoyed your story very much. Do you have other stories you can read here. Would love to hear more, if you have them. Have a blessed day.
Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words. i have a few things I can put on here, which I will do in time. Once again bless you for your support.
A very nice tribute. I learned a lot too. Thank you so much!
An absolute gem of a movie. Made a huge impact on me as a kid. Presumably when i first saw this one ( early 70's U.K. ) it' would've been the NIGHT OF THE DEMON cut. Being a kid the most impactful scene was the ending with the demon heading down the railway track, the very element that Tourneur hated ! Such is life.
Indeed. A cruelly underrated director but getting more recognition now.
Hello mate very nice video Duncan I loved your video it was fantastic great job mate and fantastic chat mate well done mate
Excellent video! Jimmy C. was an amazing guitarist. He's an unsung hero, for sure. Thank you for posting!
My pleasure.
Hello mate fantastic video Duncan and Jack well I thought Jack did a very good job well done to both you guys from Stuart
Only mind games is good the rest is rubbish for Lennon standards.
I agree the album is light weight but it is still good fun.

My dear friends Chris and Jenny😍
Loved the vid😊👌
Hello mate fantastic video very interested your video of the beatles music good luck your beatles book hopefully it work out for you well done with your RUclips channel mate.
Bless you and hopefully see you tomorrow
Bela Lugosi was such a great actor. He really should've been much more than what hollywood presented him as. Hollywood treated him as if he took his career for granted. They made it seem like he was the one that turned down Frankenstein when it was actually Universal that got rid of him. I think that had he survived through the 50s and 60s, he would've made a massive comeback as horror films were beginning to be popular again with the Hammer and Roger Coreman films. Him starring opposite of Lee, Cushing, and Price would've been epic. I also always thought he couldve done well in father figure roles as he always seemed very fatherly in the interviews he did.
I totally agree with you.
Love your work. So happy I found your program. Thank you
Bless you.
Thank you for your kind review - Andi Brooks.
My pleasure Sir. Well deserved. Another print run is surely in order?

I will check out Scary Monsters.
Fantastic collection, thank you!

Peter Lorre was without any doubt one of the greatest actors ever lived. I actually got to know actress Gisela Trowe in 1990 or so when we worked at the same theatre in Bonn/Germany for a short time and I asked her about Lorre because she was one of his co-stars in Lorre's 1951 masterpiece THE LOST ONE. Mrs. Trowe told me that Lorre was a kind of father figure for her and that he was the sweetest person she ever met in the film world. Even 40 after their colaboration she was ful of love and appreciation for him. Apparently Lorre was not only a great artist but also a wonderful human being.
Dear Duncan, as you may know German artist Heinz Edelmann was the art director of YELLOW SUBMARINE. But you might be interested in the fact that Edelmann also made a fine intro for a series called DER PHANTASTISCHE FILM with classic horror and sci-fi movies for German television. We Monster kids here in Germany all grew up with it. Here it is: ruclips.net/video/CXIjbbet1V4/видео.html
Thank you for this very video and for correcting the old rumor about Lugosi's last stay in Great Britain! Greetings and appreciation from a long time (more than 40 years) admirer of Lugosi from Germany!
Lovely to meet you.
Life long horror fan here. Never heard of this book! Will try to find it. Many thanks for the info.
My Pleasure.
Through one man, Adam, sin entered the world and through one other man, Jesus, the Lord provided grace and forgiveness. I loved your talk. As they put Jesus to death, he asked His Father to forgive his killers because they didn’t know what they were doing. My favorite chapter to read for encouragement is Revelation 21. Over 300 prophecies starting in Genesis about how The Father was going to provide a Savior for us. The 300 prophecies are fulfilled in the New Testament. Lovely how He showed us His plan and proved His love for us. I subscribed and upvoted from here in America. God bless you, my brother Thank you
Nice one. 👍
Bless you.
Thank you! Loved the optic which you are so entertaining.
Bless you.
Hello Duncan, lovely to see a new post about Bela. Seems interesting too. Was a reproduction of an Auroa kit at the end. Did you assemble and paint yourself? The NECA figure is an excellent likeness.
It is an actual Aurora kit which I bought and made in 1976 not long before Aurora went under. I agree the Neca figures are superb. Thank you for your kind words. Dunc.
thank you for the review. This was my first classic book.
Bless You.

Thank you for a very nice video Duncan moss I love the video mate well done mate.
Bless you Stuart. Barry Took was a legend. He helped the Monty Python Team to form and also The Goodies. He wrote scripts with his friend Marty Feldman.
Thanks for sharing. I love Heather Sears...a beauty and a talented actress...gone too soon :(
Writing to a 70's/80's BBC TV presenter to tell them how nice the girls at a high school are. You took an (unknown at the time) chance. Thank god it was Barry Took presenting 😉🤣🤣
May I ask why?
@@TheDunc1erm....do you really need an obvious 70's bbc presenter scandle joke explaining?
@@TheToonMonkey I see what you are getting at. My letter was no more than a piece of harmless fun. Barry Took was a respectable man with incredible talent. He does not need to be mentioned in the same sentence concerning those other events.
Do we need yet another person in a room littered with stuff talking about The Beatles?
I really do not know, my friend. I feel I can give something to Beatle fandom.
