I'll simply say that damage/impact is the number 1 scoring criteria but not the only one. Control/Takedowns everything is counted. Even something as unassuming as cage control in terms of who's controlling the space and advancing IS in the rules. Damage matters, but it must be put into perspective how much can one or a few bit moments really do to outweight something like getting outstruck by let's say pepper spray shots for a large portion of the round vs landing a single big shot that caused considerable damage. After all if both fighters are having low activity and damage is not into question or even then it falls to the lesser criterias to determine the winner. I do believe Erceg won but it was a competitive fight no less. It being Unanimous surprised me more than the victory itself honestly.
