I was fifteen or so when I listened for the first time this piece and it completely mesmerised me. And still today. It seems music from another level of reality. Bravo.

Outstanding!!!! I absolutely love this tubular bells part 2 version and the way you played it....really really close as Mike played it. As an electric guitar student, I wonder if it would be possible for you to provide me with the backtrack for this song. Or even a tablature if you had one. I can't imagine myself being able to play this Mike's masterpiece. Thank you for the time you spent putting together this version.

The tone is spot on. Mikes distorted tone from TB to around 1985 was an incredible, aggressive and beautifully soulful tone. Few other players had this unique voice in their playing.
Thank you and yes that is a great way to describe Mike's lead guitar sound up until Pictures in the Dark. The elegant choice of notes stood out too among the usual sea of blues scale.
What do you use to get that tone?
