Driven all sort’s in my time (AFV’s - 12 Speed Twin Splitter’s) and I like the DCT it’s nicely intuitive with accelerator’ only as long you respect how to use it effectively or you’ll need deep pockets 🎉 One note about this DCT (Duel Clutch) that Mini/BMW don’t explain in any tutorial: if during extended stops (traffic lights etc) using foot-brake on temporary stops in D/R is okay (disconnects clutch’s fully) , but if you (like me use handbrake, put it in neutral always’ or the clutch will drag when you remove foot off the brake, the DCT set’s the clutch’ as if your in preparation (riding clutch) for a takeoff or hill start so push stick (without thumb lock) forward into N as you roll too or stop, when ready to go.. normal procedure for take off (foot-brake > (thumb-lock) Drive > accelerate), DCT doesn’t like crawling (feathering) gas pedal in traffic slower than (1st gear) O-5/6mph ! Remember.. it’s not automatic ~ it’s a manual with thee characteristics of an automatic, and should theoretically get a good lifetime out of a DCT ~ as timing chains will last long! Lastly, If you’ve been using Launch Control before the mandatory minimum 30mile warm up period & not leaving it 5min too cool down before another launch > just forget all of thee above..(deep pockets)🎉🎉..😂

Mini Coopers are such garbage cars. I've got one as a company car and I hate everything about it: the small space, the reverse shifter which some idiot engineer decided to put right next to first gear because hey, it's not like we ever use first gear in city traffic right?, and the the absolutely terrible and limitef software. Only a complete moron would buy this car.

Possible to disable the panic button? Not a fan

This always helps me a lot and making sure that it has everything in it. Remote Start, Navigation System, Bluetooth, And Apple CarPlay. Gonna make sure that has everything in it when I get myself a used Mini Cooper S Hardtop with 4 Doors!

Great video. Can you set the ambient lighting to yellow for example but the car always remember that? I’d like to set the ambient to be yellow all the time. The car seems to revert back to blue every time I get back into the car. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated

Your tip for opening windows works, but closing them with holding down lock button on my 2018 doesn’t work unfortunately.

I have a 2019 metallic aqua Caribbean convertible twin turbo I love it Besides the fat the tubing on all cars 2019 attract rodents to chew all wires/tubing if you tend to store in winter. I store my mini for 1 week due to really bad weather and my 2007 Solstice for entire winter season and my mini had almost every wire chewed kept giving drive train malfunction . My Car has been in service with mini more than me this pas month and now last night it tells me the top isn’t locked to move in closing ditectolion then open it and make sure nothing on windshield I’m the way and make sure it locks. But it won’t let me it clicks if I try to get windows tp open by remote hoping it would open sunroof part at least but nothing . I literally have been back to mini 4 times and they have told me they changed all wires and four to rodent chewing it’s not covered by warranty but if they would change the tubing it wouldn’t continue to happen to so many people. At first they blamed lead in gas which I never put in neither car n they blamed esso n others not having the correct gas in supreme even though saying n charging as us and told me to fill up at shell only but as soon as I got my car back next n malfunction with drive train again m lost n alit of n power and my mini had lots of power I no love my car favourite one I’ve ever had… but sumner will be over before I get to enjoy this year it seems… I’m going to have to take it back again when opens unless anyone has had this error message before concerning top not locked and was able to get function to work and close n reopen top again, cuz the evening before I know it had closed all the way I even got that confirmation sound it gives when closed and message across screen confirmed as well before I turned off and exited car…. I don’t want to go another week that’s nice without my car N only seem to have it b no problems when raining out lol. Anyone knows anything it be muchly appreciated. Twice I've seen a red mini icon appear on the small Dashboard, would you know why this happens. Also like when I'm on the highway I sometimes see a green icon appear with 2 lines and a car sideways in it, first time I saw it the dealership said it was because the street was icy, but it's now summer.

I just ordered my Mini Cooper S on June 4, 2022 in Red. I am very excited to get the Mini and having the new design and knowing its has the BMW parts. Great video

We bought our mini out in Spain and it’s American/euro spec. It doesn’t se like we can activate apple car play and the mini app we have isn’t connecting. Any advice?
