It's amazing how her voice travels through the hall. It's as if she was right next to you.

Am a bit mystified by the wild applause. Strong voice, but often gutteral in tone and with poor Italian diction. I probably shouldnt have listened to Caballe just before this..now that was how the aria should be sung ..in my opinion

Anna Tomowa-Sintow was outstanding in the 1970s - her voice was full-bodied and yet slender. It was radiant and effortless in the high register. It is quite amazing that she was able to deliver an excellent performance in roles as diverse such as Tosca, Arabella or Donna Anna.
