Man In A Suitcase Theme Music (1967-1968)
What a fabulous theme, “Secret Agent Man,” performed by Johnny Rivers. I’m sure Patrick McGoohan never expected to be associated with such a popular song. But it certainly boosted the series once it was brought to the States. And the second “Danger Man” theme, harpsichord and all, is still amazing!
I am looking for a version the theme music that is not here. Sometime in the 1960s while I was with my parents and vacationing in Canada I saw an episode of Danger Man that started out with the Johnny Rivers Secret Agent Man music and lyrics EXCEPT he sang it as Danger Man, it may have been He's a Danger Man. When I told my parents about this, they told me I was wrong and must have misheard it. They said it was was Secret Agent because there was no such program as Danger Man. Someone please help out and prove I'm not crazy.
Did he invent shredding?
Can’t leave out the “Show Mel scene.
In the Avenues and Alleyways Tony Christie, 1972 Sleep like a baby My little lady Dream til the sunrise Creeps into your eyes, dream til the sunrise turns on the day In the avenues and alleyways While you sleep there's a whole world comin alive Abel and his brother fight with one another In and out of every dive The avenues and alleyways Where the strong and the quick alone can survive Look around the jungle See the rough and tumble Listen to a squealer cry Then a little later in the morning paper Read about the way he died Wake up my pretty Go to the city Stay through the daytime Safe in the sunshine Stay till the daytime turns into night In the avenues and alleyways Where a man's gotta work out which side he's on Anyway he chooses Chances are he loses No one gets to live too long The avenues and alleyways Where the soul of a man is easy to buy Everybody's wheelin' Everybody's dealin' All the low and living high Every city's got 'em can we ever stop em Some of us Have gotta try
This was best of similar shows🏆
Great job! 🥂
They should have made a motion picture of this and they just missed the money.
Strange how how he managed to tuck his cigarette into the corner of his mouth. Great theme tune
Buster: If MLB is not planning on using Ball strike technology, then why were they using it in the minor league playoffs this season, genius ??? The person interviewing you must have been an idiot not to ask that obvious question. Sad. The next time someone complains about the Eagles getting all the calls in a game, tell them part of the agreement to let the HillBilly states back in the Union after the Civil war, was that when the NFL came along, the northern cities would get all the close calls in their favor. MLB needs to go to automated balls and strikes next year. People watching on TV can easily see how many bad calls are being made and we have no way to know if the umpires (or their family members) are betting on & manipulating games. If the situation between the Jews and Palestinians was reversed in Gaza we would never hear the end of it in the US. Jews only care about terrorism and massacres when they are on the wrong end of it. I just wish Elmo would start ridding this app of the army of Twitter porn trolls before it is completely destroyed. Twitter wasn't like this until Elmo took over. The people who created this app wisely gave people the ability to limit the target audience for messages like this to their own local neighborhood. But our dimwitted moderators are too lazy and/or too stupid to force people to use this feature, so I am stuck reading nonsense like this that has NOTHING to do with me. Very annoying !!
Blinding score. Ron Grainer's themes were terrific.
Second guy from the right, can't remember his name.
Patrick McGoohan l❤ve 🙏
Loved Mcgill
I remember seeing Richard Bradford in The Untouchables with Kevin Costner. A bit older though .
I love this movie
It's been in my head for YEARS...i was 8 when this was aired! It bugged me so much i had to ask on a forum.....think it was Brit films forum....there's always someone that knows the answer. And i got the answer that put me out of my misery.
Moreover: First theme is the one used for Series One in the UK, performed by the Red Price Combo. Second theme, performed by the Bob Leaper Orchestra was NOT used either in the UK or the US. Third theme sung by Johnny Rivers, written by P.F Sloan and Steve Barri was used only in the US and was a smash hit single. Missing are Ted Astley's own original take, used in series 2 and 3 in the UK, the re-recorded version of this released as RCA 1492 in the UK. Also the Ivor Slaney Orchestra arrangement - though again, this was never used for the TV series but released on HMV records in the UK.
Some great stills photos here, from promotional material? Location brought up-to-date with photos of the TV Tower illuminated for the Festival of Lights, by the look of it. Great film, fantastic music (IMHO) and great location too. The film contains some great historical shots of how places in Berlin used to look at the time of The Wall. I recently walked across the Bridge where the coffin passed from East to West in the film, and much of it is is the same, almost 60 years on
RIP good singer....
Thank so much for the rare heard songs much appreciated,,
It's sad to look at Peggy Castle, a lovely actress destroyed by alcoholism
Amazing songs lovely tribute lovely photos of gene n lynne ❤️❤️👏👏
It really sucks that the Lawman series on TV never lists who the guests were. That info is not embedded in the video and it is also not on the INFO page supplied by the H&I Heroes & Icons channel on Comcast. That determines if I am going to watch the episode or not for other old westerns. WRZ 2022-10-01
The original did, they must have cut them.
@@jakespoon5549 Whoever thought that was a good idea must have been an idiot.
I was able to get the Phillies at 8-1 to win the WS right before the Atlanta series began. But when Topper pulled Ranger Suarez after 30-40 pitches in game 1 of the D-Backs series, I realized he was going to try and rely very heavily on 2 starting pitchers to win a 7 game series. That took me back to my childhood and a VERY bad memory of Gene Mauch relying on Bunning & Short, Bunning & Short over and over again in 1964. So I went back to the casino and was able to get a larger bet on the D-Backs at 8 1/2 to 1 after the second game.
OH OH DREAMY DREAMY LOVE❤️VELVET BLU BO'NEE🌈
Qui est l'auteur de ces génériques absolument magnifique.
Edwin Astley, à qui on doit aussi les excellents thèmes du Saint et de Département S... (sauf la chanson interprétée par Johnny Rivers qui a été ajoutée pour la télé US).
WOW!

Excellent compilation, thank you, Sir! Might I be permitted a slight suggestion? Could you possibly re-edit this, and include a slightly better excerpt from Serge Franklin? Otherwise, top-rate!

They used a studio recording for Secret Agent, not the live one.
