that plastic guard is tilted
You know you can remove those pieces of tile to relocate your outlet as well. Or mount the hood first. Trace it, and then you know where to put backsplash and leave allowance for mechanical, electrical and mounting spaces
What's the best way to frame and get your measurements if the top of your fireplace is sloped in and is smaller than the bottom?
I'm a little confused on what you mean
Rest of process
Check out my full length videos for the entire process👍
I would love to know how this can be done in a room with vaulted ceilings
Thank you! 🙂
Any time!
Mine doesn’t have the same spot for the small filter? I’m so confused
It should. I would recommend reaching out to the support team directly
Man, if you believe in God, then GOD BLESS you for helping people achieve and save lots of money! I asked someone to do this for me, and they asked $3000 for it! You made it simple!
Two thumbs up for that!
Not my husband doing the exact same thing AND THEN watching your video🤦🏻♀️🤣🤣
Oh no🫣
Simply make a template of the wall and that’s it
Simple
On behalf of all the morons in the world, I thank you for the clear and concise explanation of this subject!
I love how detailed you are. Thank you. Serious question, can u do mock model for my measurements? Paid of course.
Absolutely. Send me an email to service@heights-handyman.com
do these measurement work on a surround shower kit. Thanks
Yes, just account for the thickness of the wall panels instead of the backerboard and tile
Never would have thought to run the wires through the wall.
After cleaning the internal filter the housing is nonlonger water tight. If i hand tighten too much it strips. No enough it leaks.
You may have cross threaded it
What are the advantages of having a recessed mounted tv vs mounting to the studs you have colored green or blocking between those studs?
Its only depends on aesthetics. A recessed space for a tv looks great but if you plan on changing tv sizes then it might not work well I put a small niche behind the tv to hide wires
C’mon way too much bs measurements and not enough actual.
You're so right
How much did you charge to assemble the sauna in your previous video?
I didn't charge for that one but I'd charge anywhere from $800-1200 depending on circumstances
Really well done! I'm thinking about buying the 2-person version of this. Hopefully you're enjoying yours!
Definitely should!
all that explanation was necessary
I agree
I hate to tell yu bud but your fireplace chimney is suposed 2 be bricks, ur gunna burn ur house down bud
I hate to tell you buddy but it's not 1910 anymore. Chimneys vent with metal ducting and electric fireplaces don't need venting
@@Cottonwoodconstruction well the metal ducting still gets hot there bud
Well they make insulated vent pipes there, keyboard ninja knowitall disgrees with everything pants
@@illbetherejk3212 hmmm idk about all that your gunna have to make a video to explain...
Can you share the SketchUp file used for this project?
Yes I can do that! It's not the best for editing but you can have the measurements and stuff
Love it!
Who do I hire to do this work ?
Me
Terrible video
I got you my guy that’s bad for you. I wouldn’t be stepping on it.
Wasn't great
I love your hard wood lol
Lololol
60 seconds my nutz
No it actually took 60 seconds
Or just look at the valves diagram dimensions.
They don't give those. Hence the video
It has at least 10 years left on it.
Lol🤣
Looks good
It was
Really appreciate you putting this video out here. Can’t believe that Moen isn’t capable of explaining this to their customers in an easy format like this. My shower kit had generic instructions for tub/shower and I need shower only. So the valve height was going to be low like on a tub. It didn’t explain to measure the depth like you did. Couldn’t find what I needed on their website so what does a homeowner do? Go to RUclips. Thanks again.
This is why I do it!
You didn’t overcomplicate this at all. How else would you set the depth? I suppose you could gather all the materials and lay them on the studs and mark the depth. Sounds like some of these commenters just guess and hope it comes out right.
Sometimes you can guess and get lucky but this method applies to setting depths for drop ears and when you have valves of two different sizes. I'm glad it helped!
simply the best :) Sir!
Glad you think so!
If you decide to do a wood mantel, at what height would you install it?
I normally do that at 62” top of mantel. But some fireplaces require a certain amount of space in between fireplace and bottom of mantel
I would recommend deciding what size tv and where your tv placement will be if you plan on having one on the fireplace. I'd do a mantle rough 14-18" above the fireplace or 6-10" below the TV
You made that look easy!
What in the actual fuck are you complaining about? Actin like a woman, never satisfied.
344 Years and I ain’t ever seen something like this before These are all great videos
You’re funny keep up the good work thank you for the laughs
That’s badass, I could see 225 commented for engagement your 2 new videos are funny I hope everyone has a nice day, thank you
Appreciate you legend!
That thumb is crucial 😂
Thats what my wife said🫣
Up and down till now that was cool
Hell yeah
The up and up shook me first time
Im sayin
Up down
Im an "up-down" kinda guy 😅 But do you use it as a fidget? 😏
100% lol i mess with that thing constantly
Lol still looks like sh*t 🤣
hwhat a sisseh, can’t use real tools like a man SHOULD! that’s how you build nice, strong calluses! 😂
I don't have hands just two big calluses
Lol, a 16 penny nail would destroy the block.
I guess blocks were just tougher back in my day
Not like this. Cause I have it lying down, or on top depending on if I moved some stuff around. I like doing these kind of things in my van, but at home or in the workplace it really just moves aorund a lot lol. Need to it too often
I would actually argue this wouldn't be sturdy enough for a van. Its accessible for me and quick to grab
@@Cottonwoodconstruction Yeah if you'd do it the exact same way, but I have things clamped up in the same fashion in my van and if done correctly it works pretty well tbh. It just have to be a bit more tight is all.
