At 31:42 the island on the left edge of the screen. As well as the island in the middle of the screen At 37:32 are a large island that has a pig on it. I know this because its the island I am currently based on. Good Video!

I also, rotate my save spots using all three save-slots.. in case I have to go back further

I imagine you are getting loads of comments and advice.. I don’t want to overburden you.. Don’t read more if it’s possibly spoilers. The game gets a little more fun when you get a tool belt.. I think like 5 extra inventory spots 👍.. I had to do the game on the easiest settings. I died too many times to be fun. And I sleep at night.. then in morning.. I face the same “tent/shelter” .. and there is the save point.. so each day.. I saved from morning.. if you find an island you like a lot .. “pigs, UFO’s, clay, Iron, coconuts.. “. I think if you save game .. Close game .. re-start game.. resources might refresh. I think the “add on” .. tool belt needed an iron nail.. I made the goal of my play time to get that tool belt asap… which if I remember.. still took a goood 6-10 game hours .. find iron ore.. smelt.. pour nail in clay mold.. make belt. Have you figured out the clay is about half meter wide pile of brownish spot on sand. Iron ore happens to respon daily in a cave on one island. It looks like a big rock dug-out shelter spot.. small iron ores look a little smaller than rocks.. darker color too.. two times I found a small 20 inch boulder size iron ore. Rare

I love this game. Fun and charming.

The drones won't hurt you unless you attack it, then it shoots out like a beam that burns. When you have better weapons later, you can get underneath it and disable it, hit with an axe to get wires and circuit boards, etc etc

You can put a chest on your boat up front.

Put your sail back up when you land on an island. This is not the big island due north, you will run right into it, just keep heading north. It is a huge island compared to the other islands.

It does take a long time on the raft. Once you can build the bigger sail boat with the double mast it will make sailing much faster!

Use your rudder for direction, not the sail.

Hmmm well that sucks you'll beat that raft hathos probably with a hammer by the end of this 👍😅

You need to find an island with a pig you get hides from them. not gonna lie the island you are on would make a great base. You will need to island hop for materials if you stay where you are. I'm almost at day twenty in my current play

You can check your watch while sailing. Let the rudder go, (Hit E) then just stand in middle of boat, look at watch for direction and if you need H2o or food. Make it to the farthest North island, it has everything for your base, everything!!

The one thing I don't understand is the removal of tree stumps to prevent the tree's regrowth. Hunh? In Project Castaway, I have been wishing those coconut trees would regrow, because then we'd have a renewable supply of logs; not just sticks, but logs. One player who had bad luck rafting was building a bridge to the next island, and then to the 3rd and from there back to the 1st, making his own little Bermuda Triangle -- which I thought was cool! 😎👍👌 And I wanted to see if it would work, but I've yet to see the follow-up video to see if it can be done without using up literally all the logs available. But *here,* we don't have to wonder. We *know* the trees will regrow! Coolness! 😀 So then, I wonder if you can build such a literal bridge system between the islands in *this* game. 🤔 I notice that your tools eventually wear out and vanish; again, rather like in Project Castaway. So, I wonder if the same solution might help. In "PC," if you construct a Disassembly Table and use it to take apart something like, e.g. an axe, *before* it disappears, you get all the components back and can then use those same ones to remake the same item, which will now be refreshed back to full durability. At about 25:48 , is that coughing from the character in the game, or from you (the player), or someone in the room with you? I think the former, as it repeats at times and always sounds the exact same. For dangerous creatures, I'm glad you knew to use a bow. Bravo! At about 38:18 , it's easier to find things you drop, later on when you want them, if you drop them onto the beach sand rather than in the woods. 😉 I'm with you about the water vs. cloths issue. Keeping warm is important, yes, but being near a fire can do that. I would've voted prioritizing the water collector. 👍 At 47:55 , Gorgeous View! 😀

Oh good grief! not another Stranded deep, sunkenland, Ark ...etc type game they are so similar, it's getting a bit boring, non of these games ever seem to get anywhere. Your video coverage is good just getting a bit tired of these games looking good and not getting anywhere .... it's almost as bad as all the Zombie outbreak type games! 🤔🤨🙄😆😅🤣

Build your raft and head due north to the big island, it has everything you need to set up a permanent base and then just make outpost on all of the other islands. You will find pigs, iron, clay, chest in the water and plenty of coconuts and wood there. It will take awhile to get up north on a raft, but it will be worth it.

Oh my g. You pick a banana leaves in banana tree. After a second you dont know what kind is banana leaves. 🤨🤨🤨

Yet another thing I forgot if you see a banana tree that is bearing fruit don't cut it down for rope it won't respawn as a fruit tree if you do. I made this mistake.

Don't sell yourself short about your aim. You hit the same target consistently. I'm impressed you improved this quickly. Concerning the base question. I would leave the starter island as an outpost not a base. I would leave and find an island with a wild pig on it. once you do set up two water collectors a firepit with a smoker and a shelter. just make sure you don't build on top of where the pig spawns. a tusky headbut is not a fun alarm clock. another reason to leave the starter island is that I didn't find clay there. Clay nodes look weird in this game. They are flat slightly elevated oddly circular and vaguely pink in color. You will know it when you see it. One last thing the wobble during aiming is a mechanic tied to the aim skill. skills can be viewed by holding the F key and rotating the mouse wheel. Take this knowledge and grow my padawan.
