    It would’ve been 10 times easier and cheaper to Repair the gap in the Wood Because you will need the nailer and it’s not like that floors brand new

    Plunge cut joint w oscillating tool, use circular saw down length, making 2 cuts, remove middle and use pry and chisel to remove side pieces.

    At 8:42 you left wood debris in the area your new piece is going and made it hard to install as you were smashing the wood debris into the underlayment.

    Nice job! I had not seen a video involving a single piece in the middle of a floor. This was helpful. I had to something similar when I removed a wall between two rooms but I had more room to remove the flooring. If interested you can see my video here. ruclips.net/video/ygPNX6y38EM/видео.htmlsi=jb0pUt-125QAG_vC

    That is all DB and the added weight, the buffer is not using the planetary there.

    • @josephfairclough1925
      @josephfairclough1925 Год назад

      Yes, the weight but the RPMs as well.

    • @mitchellcanter2275
      @mitchellcanter2275 Год назад

      Correct, no planetary in this action but it is a lot faster than the buffer.

      @@mitchellcanter2275 Is that DB 40 or 60 or 80 grit? I thought about a sanding of open coat 36-40 or 60 belt (flatten), 80 DB, 80 belt, 80 - 100 screen. I been off the floors for some time but had done 40 or 60 open and my modified satellite 60-80, screen 100 or 120 many times and liked the result with stain. For me It always depends on the first cut and how flat you can get it. Paper now ( Red Heat ) are very aggressive and can often flatten well at higher grits with the trade of paper price and time.

    • @mitchellcanter2275
      @mitchellcanter2275 Год назад
