im watching Friday the 13th
You can’t go wrong with Friday the 13th.
The Exorcist is still the scariest movie ever made. I'm a 80's born too. I first saw the original version on tv. I saw the Never Before Seen The Version. At the movies. I even like to quote it. A good friend of mine. Told me I sounded like the demon. While we watched it at a sleepover. Till this day. My friend can't stand to hear the name. The Exorcist or The Blair Witch Project. In my mind that was something. The Exorcist still has power. I can't get over the things directors. Will do for the movie. 🎃😃🎥
💀💀
Looking good Joe Dirt!
I love Halloween 6..I think as far as atmosphere and Michael being scary, its one of the best in the series! Just ignore the plot lol
It is definitely dark and entertaining. Michael seemed very pissed in that movie. The electrocution death was awesome!
What is your guilty pleasure “Halloween” movie?
I’m 60 and I have loved horror movies my entire life. The Exorcist is not only my favorite horror movie of all time but in my top five movies ever.
I agree! Quentin Tarantino calls it a “perfect movie..” Thanks for watching!
And the interesting thing is that Columbo was based off of the character of LT.Kinderman. Blatty was slightly annoyed. There is much more of him in the book and of course the 3rd film,Legion,is about him. He's a very sly and sharp character that Blatty really knew how to write well.
The Kinderman character in the 1973 movie was such a clever way to move the story along without an exposition dump. George C Scott, who’s such an amazing actor, took that character to a whole new level! Thank you for watching! We love your insights.
A great film. The best horror film of all time. The new trash is so bad Blumhouse should be ashamed of themselves. No modern horror film compares. Terrifier is complete garbage shlock. There is nothing scary about gore. Sorry. Like Steven King said in his great book,Danse Macabre, there are 3 levels to being scared. Terror is the finest emotion and is about the anticipation of something happening. Horror is seeing something happen. Then the lowest level is gore or gross out. It can be effective simply because of the idea of pain but it's cheep and lazy. The Exorcist does all three with a level of quality that modern films don't have. It feels real. Late Night With The Devil is good but it still rides off the coattails of this film as does the inferior Conjuring film. The true sequel to this film is The Ninth Configuration then Legion. Blatty never liked the idea of a direct sequel. His idea was to do stories in the same world but with different ideas and characters. Especially The Ninth Configuration which is about the astronaut from the party. Even the score is groundbreaking. Forget the tiny little bit of Tubular Bells. The use of Kristoff Pendreki in the score was unlike anything ever done and is still the most unsettling music. Listen to his classical music late at night and see if you can get thru something like Threnody for Hiroshima. Fredkin famously destroyed the original score because it was too generic and cliche. He made the right choice. That original score though is the stuff of collecting legends if you listen to the bits that exist of it. The genius of Blatty and Fredkin is that they never treated it like a horror film. It's a theological drama. Even Ray Bradbury called it one of his favorite love stories. Blatty wrote everything in the film for a logical reason. Even the crucifix scene was not done for shock value which many writers now don't get. It was a logical step to get the mother to the point where she did what she had to do irregardless of her lack of faith. Everything about the film is so well constructed and written it's in a league above every film now irregardless of how old it is. If anything that alone makes it better. Older films weren't concerned with the modern ADD mindset. They took their time. Alien,Jaws, Psycho all take their time to build up mood, atmosphere and good characters. Anyone who says it's boring is simply a child with no patience or imagination. I recently watched it with our 18 year old cousin and he loved it and was never bored. It's still the most disturbing horror film ever made.
I think I just figured it out. Not only did the little girl clown fix Art's injuries with her supernatural demonic powers (which many of us already know), but she also must have made his clothes clean. The nasty stuff coming out of her is probably what was in his clothes, and we hear the washer stop just before he notices her.
This is the best explanation I’ve heard for it!
Exorcist 3 is a suspense masterpiece 👍
The second nightmare was very scary; the scariest version of Freddy, but yes, they did break the rules with him coming into the real world through using Jesse’s body as a conduit and killing people that weren’t even asleep.
Freddy looked great: red menacing eyes, His skin had like a wetness to it. I enjoy the opening bus scene. I loved the effect of him tearing at his head and exposing his brain. I also like the effect of him melting at the end and him coming through Jessie’s stomach.
@@BloodandDonutspodcast yes; the scenes with Freddy were horrifying!!!
Fuck yeah i would, my kids are little demons
Ryan stiles from who's line is it anyway could be. Freddy Kruger
They do look similar now that you mention it! Lol
Hey guys, Chris here…… my favorite film on the planet…… the reason I think they show well to do families having these issues lets the average viewer think that bad things can happen…….. even to the rich.
Hey Chris! That’s a good explanation. I bet you’re right. I think we are also morbidly fascinated by the rich and want to watch them suffer. Ha! Thanks for watching!
@@BloodandDonutspodcast no question……..
Great movie to review for October! I’m excited about this one.
The exorcist was my favorite movie of all time and this is a great video
Thanks for watching! Love The Exorcist.
The first one was the best one!!
Terrible
As someone stated below, the mask will NEVER look the same from H2 to H4 because he was burned at the end of H2. And people complain that Michael was too big and bulky in H4...duh, he was in a coma for 10 years. Was he supposed to eat clean and workout 5 days a week? H4 in my opinion may have a goofy mask, but it's not the worst! And the movie itself is better than the original. H2 is better than the original too!
If y'all like donuts yall should try Czech style fruit kolaches
Sounds delicious!
You guys have one of the best reactions to terrifer 2 😂
Thank you! We had fun watching it.
Because the mask Michael wore in part two went up in flames so why the hell would he have the exact same mask? I don’t even know how this is even a topic anymore. Let alone the documentaries that I’ve gone great length explaining this in details and the other 300 RUclipsrs who have covered this topic.
Warlock stretch
Because it's a different actor
There's a couple of rumors and speculation as to why the mask in Halloween 4 didn't look the same. somebody (cannot remember who) made a video when asked and said that the Original Kirk masks came "pink" in color with blonde/silver hair. they tried to re-paint them. the Paint they used just didn't cake well and caused the look of the H4. THE Halloween II Mask was the same mask used in 1978, but it was in an environment where there was smoking and bad temperature. when you wear a halloween mask that's latex, what tends to happen is moisture and heat degrade it and cause decomposition of the latex.
I saw that about the "pink color" and "blonde hair". I believe there is a few scenes that slipped through with the blonde hair. hahaha
@@BloodandDonutspodcastyea lol the school scene you can clearly tell
How do expect Michael to have the same exact mask in H4 when he was burned alive at the end of H2? It would never be the same.
@@dmvnative90skid63 well, if we're going by movie theory : The mask used in 1978 would more than likely be a mass produced mask in most costume stores around Haddonfield. So it's possible that 7 years later (Halloween 4) that mask or a variant would still be around
@@Thirt13nthD In movie theory H2 takes place in 1978. There's a 10 year difference. That may be the case, but logically speaking I don't think Michael Myers himself in H4 cared to have the exact mask as H1/H2.
Which is your favorite Michael Myers mask?
One thing ive noticed about this film that nobody else ever talks about is why there even is a may queen!!!! The may queen is just a ruze , they find one single female outsider each year that fits the bill & bring her there to recruit her into a member of their cult by making them all the May Queen so that she will feel special & part of their family from the very beginning!!!! That's how they are able to keep their commune alive over time & they also bring in one outsider male per year to mate with one of their female members in order to keep their number of members strong!!!! The other outsiders are just sacrifices they use every 90 years for the Bear burning ritual!!!!! Its the only logical reason to do any of this because nothing else makes logical sense when u actually think about it!!!!!
Hey, Michael Myers used a shotgun in "Halloween 4". He may have used it to impale a guy, but he technically did use a gun. "What you gonna do when I cut your head off brother?". Hogan hulking is far better than Warrior shaking the ropes IMO.
@@PackPack702 You’re right Michael Myers technically used a g$n! 😂 Thanks for watching, Brother! (In Hogan voice)
Mandela Effect
Videos like this are great examples of whats wrong with fandom these days. Far too much focus on behind he scenes stuff and far too little attention paid to the actual products we get. that "Loomis needs to calm down and smoke a cigarette remark" only proves a misunderstading of his characterization and how it relates to the events. He just shot Michael about 6 times and he got up and walked away, thats morre than enough to make Loomis ramp up. Nothing about that says Loomis needs to cal down, its the exact opposite. "you dont know what death is" after doing something expected to cause a death and get the opposite result, his statement fits, sheesh lol This notion that characters should remain the same after certain events, is why some fans dont understand character motivations and decisions.
Ive seen alot of horror movies but that bedroom scene was something else. @_@
It was one of the craziest things I’ve ever seen on film.
Amazing reaction 😂 I love these movies, Art is a modern horror icon and i am beyond excited for Terrifier 3 ( I've only read really positive reviews so far )
Thank you! I’ve watched a few reviews of people who got to go to the Premier. It’s all been positive stuff. Hopefully we can find a theater playing it near us! Cinemark is putting out a popcorn bucket.
You guys are hilarious!
One of if not the best sequel but not a patch on the 1978 classic...All the sequels including this one are just ok.
The first one was a masterpiece
The mask - Have you seen the video of Tommy Wallace taking a Captian Kirk mask and remaking the original mask? It couldn't be easier! ruclips.net/video/HzhM8Ut3cRc/видео.html
@@paulascott5701 That video was awesome! Thank you for sharing. It’s crazy they couldn’t get it right in future films.
It is one of the best slasher movies ever. The best Halloween movie after the original. You guys are not giving it the praise it deserves.
I agree with you. This is one of the best horror sequels of all time. We both gave it an 11. Great score. We’ve seen it so many times that we can both laugh and openly talk about the idiosyncrasies of this film. But nothing but respect for this movie. Please see my review 21:43. Thanks for watching!
They made the excuse that Shatner wanted money. That's ridiculous. How did RZ get the rights if they even needed to?
I didn’t know that about Shatner.
what excuse? and why would the same mask be available 10 years later?
In the first one he is chasing a mental patient. In this one he watched a guy get up from six shots and walk away. If he was not terrified he would be crazy.
EXACTLY! people act as if he isnt justified in escalating. Obviously he shot at Michael because he expected to kill him (another issue is fans confuse what we the audience knows, with what the characters know. They dont kow their attempts wont work The fact Michael just gets up and walks away, you hit in right on the head
This is the first one I ever saw on Halloween night on HBO at 12 years old. It scared the hell out of me. The scariest part was the sit up scene but I never knew it was from the original for a long time. Dick Warlock and Nick castle will never be topped but JJC comes close. I absolutely hate every other interpretation except for Tyler Mane just because he had the OG mask more or less. H4 is a great story but that Michael is awful. Love the video guys.
This is the first ‘Halloween’ movie I had ever watched. The hot tub scene is the one that stuck with me for years. That skin flaking off…😅 Wooh!
even Dick warlock admits he couldnt do the job right. Its okay you like it, buts its not accurate, JJC did way better.
I watched this for the first time at a slumber party and I was not old enough! The hot tub scene 👀
😅same! That hot tub scene stuck with me for years.
I wanted to help Georgie! Lol
Me too! 🥹
Great video, fellas. I was always curious how Ghostface was able to hang the principle on the football field lol
Great episode, guys! Love this movie!!

In that case…I’m getting some tonight!
My theory for scream 7 what if Billy sid had secret child in between scream 1 and 2 ?Will scream 7 be mirror to scream 3?
That’s a great theory! I’m so glad they found a way to make 7 work. Sad Ortega won’t be co involved.
