When this album first came out I was 15 years old. And even back then I really enjoyed, had some of my favorites songs that i used to listen in School. Now, almost 10 years later I came back to listen to this masterpiece and almost every song has a different meaning. Literally a masterpiece.

Listen To Pimp a Butterfly is the best RAP album, in my opinion. Because there are much better albums that are of completely different genres.

what i love most about this album is that each and every song is picked so specifically and so intricately crafted that their topics can be extended to a full album itself. i always relate "u" to "the downward spiral" by nine inch nails. that's his downward spiral, maybe not from the same reasons, but certainly has the same feel. its disturbing to hear, as you said, "a drunk mans thoughts."
