Wales’ weirdest football club | MISFITS AND SCUMBAGS: The Llantwit Major Story
Llantwit Major AFC have become renowned across Welsh football for their antics on and off the pitch. A double promotion, a league title, Mr. Blobby and Boca Juniors inspired kits, a notorious Twitter account and for the first time ever, a foray into European football.
This short documentary film follows the club as they embark on their first ever FENIX Trophy campaign whilst also battling for survival in the Cymru South.

Another industry that we were happy to privatise and sell off.. to end up being sold to a company who don’t care enough about local communities. Another symptom of privatisation not working. Such a pity for the local and surrounding communities.

Is this a recent thing? Went there to watch them vs Llanelli town around 2016 in the 3rd division and I didn't see anything like this? Cheers. *EDIT* I just worked it out, it was 2015.
Well done, Llantwit Major. Cardiff boy but I did an apprenticeship at RAF St Athan back in the late 70s so had a few mates from Llantwit. Always had a soft spot for the place since then. 👏👍

Nice film. Would be great to see more follow-up shorts, as our town goes through this trauma.
They came for the mines and left devastation. The likes of Westminster and Welsh Labour couldnt give 2 craps about the community left behind. Drakeford and co are a bunch of Unionist loving bastards. I hope people remember this and Plaid cut the strings away from them and become a real opposition.
