Greenhouse Two - Transplanted Tomatoes
Congratulations
Do you export your products to other countries, or do you limit your sales to the domestic market in Rwanda?
Just my dream! Thanks for growing up my love for green house agriculture
How are your tomatoes doing, we offer grafted tomatoes seedlings.
Awesome!
How much time a year is there no production in the greenhouse? and therefore no yield. Try a trial with larger plants raised in the seed greenhouse. Preferably in a pot size 10x10 cm The advantages of large plants ( and this is also true for tomato plants and other plants) is faster harvesting but also balanced growth as the fruits generatively steer the plant. Young plants are often too vegetative at the expense of good production. Try it!
I want to come and learn can I?
Good one sir. Please are you practicing soilless Farming?
This is a massive project. Great job sir. I will be following you hence forth
good job. whats the cost of the green house
What is the name of the bags and where to buy them?
I have the impression that my well-meaning comment has been deleted; I would have preferred you to respond to my post. On the one hand, you and your staff have done a great job in building the greenhouses and the all-tomato system, but on the other hand, when I see your videos, there is still a lot of room for improvement at all stages and to make your huge investment profitable. The best thing is to suggest that you do many trials for each production stage.
Start with a trial of different tomato varieties, different substrates (with Rwanda peat?), greater selection of your seedlings to get a homogeneous batch of tomato plants. For this reason, 30% of seedlings are removed in Europe. I am curious to know what the difference in production is if you compare 20 weakly-growing plants with poor settings with 20 strong-growing tomato plants with good settings.
Greenhouse look fine, you need to work on your agronomist. The yield doesn’t look promising.
The grow bags, they are kinda small for proper root development.
Quite a great job you're doing here Mr ndego. 1500sqm greenhouse is a large area. Sir what's the plant population and the spacing between plants and rows
You're doing a great job sir. How can I get an ebook on tomato farming Sir. I live in Nigeria
How to build the cheapest Green House?
You're doing an extremely good job Sir please keep it up. What size is the greenhouse and how many stands of tomatoes are in it
sorry that you did not respond to my observations. I would have liked to know how you stimulate tomato setting currently so that more tomatoes are set with as a result a higher yield. I think it is fine that you mention the variety in your next video. I suppose it is the variety "dickens" from enzazaden ( a Dutch seed company). On the enzazaden site, you can see several pictures of well-seeded bunches. So it's possible.
I live in ivory Coast i have too greenhouse
Combien il faut pour construire une greenhouse ?
Good job i follow your chanel because you show something
I will star my green house soon
I follow all your videos. What I notice now is that the plants are quite narrow and skinny, normally I expect them to be twice as thick and vigorous. Possible reasons could be too hot, not enough water and/or fertilizer (or not the right fertilizer). I also noticed that the fruiting is not good (2 -3 tomatoes per cluster). Normally you expect 6-8 tomatoes and sometimes I see 2 large ones and the rest small ones. In a greenhouse with no/few wind, you have to help the setting by manually vibrating the bunches (there are handy devices for this) or by bumblebees, which it's now widely used in Belgium and Holland. You cannot use bees. I think Holland Greentech (Kigali) sells bumblebees (Koppert brand from Holland) . Biobest from Belgium can also supply you with bumblebees. It is not my intention to give criticism, but rather to suggest possible improvements/trials.
'promo sm' 😁
What is the planting distance between tomato plants and between rows? Among professional growers in Belgium, we normally use 60 cm between tomato plants and 80 cm between rows.
Your greenhouses are a beautiful project. Congratulations!!! Have you also done trials with larger, more developed seedlings (tomato plants) that flower within a week? Larger plants are easier to balance between vegetative and generative growth. You do need 8-inch trays and they take up more space in the nursery.
Weldone sir, you are doing great
Nice work. From which country have you imported the greenhouse?
From Holland
Well done
Be Blessed in your ventures!
Nice one
