the amarath vocalist sounds more like a pop singer , which makes nightwish sound pretty bland and uninteresting. and the music too is more pop.. Amarath against something like the kinslayer or wanderlust sounds .. Nightwish to me was like going into something like an elven adventure land music with hard metal elements. And Tarja even had that exotic dark look with her bone structure and all that added to it. like the soundtrack to a fantasy image . now it takes me more into pop chart music

@glittersmile Couldn´t have said it better... This guy knows what he´s talking about and made himself good thoughts to talk about. And I love the moment when he puts "Angels Fall First" on the table to get Tuomas´s siganture... Great interview, and Tuomas obviously enjoyed it.

thats the same way hans zimmer does his work it's just that hans zimmer does it in two computers one is to is to make his song ideas the other one put the notes automaticly then he gives the notes to the orchestral kindda like that but tuomas is my idol i think he's one of the best compositors in the wolrd

Well it's just weird, 'cause I'm trying to get into a music school right now at a lowly community college, and they're telling me that I have to already know how to read standard notation before I can even get in. So I just kinda had this idea that after all the time he spent studying, Tuomas would be able to read music better than words. And Lapsellinen, did you even watch the video before posting that?

Why does he say Thomas when he's name is TUOMAS. I know it's the 'english' version but if you're name is Tuomas then it's Tuomas. Not Thom, Thomas or whatever. T-U-O-M-A-S.!!! Nice interview though

I love Tuomas, he is my absolute favorite modern-day songwriter and musician. BUT COME ON. How could he have attended music college for eleven years and not know how to write notes?
