@@heavyarms55 Yeah, it may not have been a thing when you played it. Do you remember what version you played on? These videos were v3.10. The current version is 4.1, which has all Gen 9 content. But anyway, Minimal Grinding Mode sets all pokemon's IVs to 31, disables EVs, and none of the opponents have EVs.

LOL I know, I noticed him getting shot out of a cannon on my second viewing. I missed all the juicy stuff on my first viewing, including the SkullGrinder gun and the Nailgun.

Some moves have higher priority, and some moves have very low priority.

@@jannikfischer8659 Well, when one plays the game for the first time, it is hard. Especially if they do not use the QoL cheats provided by the devs. I actually do not look up boss teams, so I was not specifically prepared for the entire team. I only swapped out one of my usuals for Melmetal because Double Iron Bash is helpful against Mewtwo having "two lives". However, the battle did not go as planned, so I had to adapt on the fly.

There are 3 difficulties, Easy, Normal, and Hardcore. I played on Normal.

@@threeworldheroes Iirc, Easy has looser level caps, easier enemy teams, and opponents have no EVs. Hardcore has harder enemy/boss teams, player cannot use certain abilities and moves, and Minimal Grinding Mode is forced (Everything has Max IVs and no EVs).

Yes. You can use either a DS or 3DS Flashcart. Or, maybe you can convert the ROM into a CIA, so you can install it onto your 3DS' SD Card. I haven't tried any of these methods, because I am just using an emulator on PC.

It is a Romhack of Fire Red. You won't find a ready-made Romhack of Radical Red, because those get DMCA'd. You can easily find the latest patch file, and then you will have to find a copy of Pokemon Fire Red v1.0. With those two acquired, you use a program called NUPS to patch the Fire Red ROM. Or, you can use an online patcher, in which case, you will only need the Fire Red ROM.

This battle wasn't very difficult for me either. But, this is my most-viewed Radical Red video, so I guess a lot of people have trouble with it apparently. I have no idea what the 4.0 version of this battle is like.

Since they did not give you a proper answer, I will try. Here is the math: Lvl 81 252 SpA Deoxys-Attack Psychic vs. Lvl 82 0 HP / 0+ SpD Galvantula: 208-246 (89.6 - 106%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO Brendan's Deoxys-Attack had a 37.5% chance to OHKO Galvantula, but failed. The player's Galvantula has to have a +SpD nature to reach this high a range, although Galvantula does technically also have a chance of survival even if it had a neutral nature. Brendan's Deoxys-Attack only rolled 213 instead of 232 or above. Only 6/16 of them had D-A getting the KO. In short, Brendan low-rolled.

Sobble is a starter, you can pick it at the beginning of the game. Then there is an NPC in Celadon City that gives starter eggs in exchange for shards. In earlier versions, certain starters were not available from this NPC because they were gifted by other specific NPCs. But, starting from v4.0 (Gen 9 update), all starters are available from the Celadon NPC.

This is actually one of two possible teams. The other team, he uses his starter, and it is not full of legendaries. This team was so hard to fight, I must have lost over a dozen times. Also, I was using a save state, and the game's AI reacts to that, predicting the battle extremely accurately. In this battle, I almost forgot that Yveltal would use Sucker Punch at the end.
