i live a few miles away from a local race track and every saturday night the air is full of the sound of funny cars, its so loud it sounds as if they are just a few streets over so i know just how loud race cars can be

Pfft Although lovely the noise from those SMALL engines (want a better sound, check out the early 90’s 3.5L V10 and V12) is not what makes F1 great... in fact the noise was a handicap against to really appreciate the sport. Now I can hear different notes from the exhaust, which give indication of which engine map is being used... as well as hear the tires slip during braking and corners. I say F1 is better in the Hybrid era than in the past... and I got to hear the Ferrari and Honda V12’s, and the Renault V10... hell I even remember the Lamborghini, which apparently none of anyone here does. So stop this nonsensical fallacy please
