A Look Around Glen Davis Works - An Abandoned Oil Ghost Town in Australia
A look around the now abandoned Glen Davis Works in the Capertee Valley, NSW. Located approximately 165km from Sydney between Lithgow and Mudgee.
Oil was extracted from shale between 1940 and 1952, with a township of 2,000 people built around the industry.
The history of the site is fascinating and offers an insight into Australian oil production during the WW2 era. The ruins of the industrial scale buildings are the highlight with the retort building sitting over 3 stories high, nature has slowly started to claim back the site.
Today there are just over 100 residents remaining and the town and works are a reminder of the past.
Tours of the works run every weekend, definitely worth it if you...

wow look at those mountains, would love to know the geology of the area.
The mountains are definitely something else, my understanding is it's part of the bigger Sydney basin and the cliffs were formed by water erosion millions of years ago. The shale is the result of mud and organic material being compressed over time at the bottom the ocean.

Hello! , I was looking for a recent video about this backpack. I have it for a couple of years but I have never dared to take it to an airport to travel with it, I do not know if the companies would put me any problem to be such a big backpack, I do not know if they would let me get on the plane as hand luggage or you have to use it as a suitcase, do you know anything?
Hi, the bag is fine for travelling. In Australia the maximum size for carry on is 56cm x 36cm x 23cm and 10kg Max weight. The main body of the bag is on the edge of these measurements, but being fabric it fits easily into the overhead lockers and can be folded down worst case. Hope this helps and happy travels. 🤙

Coola Outstation in the Canunda National Park, South Australia. Located on the Limestone Coast on the way to Robe/Adelaide. Some interesting history dating back to 1863. For those that enjoy a walk, there's also a 7km trail to the site that includes colonial farming equipment and information boards.
I bought mine back in 2016 and never used it, I have so many backpacks that I forgot about this one. I got it out of storage today and the msrp price on the tag says $300 lol
Time to put it to use? Or you could probably sell it for $150 or so if it still has the tags on.

I’ve had mine since 2013, thing is built like a tank. I’ve gone everywhere with it, from Vegas, Mexico, Trinidad and Tobago, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Jamaica.. it is my ultimate travel companion and it still looks like I just bought it yesterday, even after all the trips and use.

What are the dimensions of the original exhaust pipe adapter?
Not sure sorry, I don't have this bike any more. It's definitely much lighter, as there's no heat shielding on the Akro the dimensions are very similar, the piping may be slightly larger in diameter, but the main difference is the flow through on the muffler and less restricion just outside the header pipe, hope that helps.
When adding the exhaust. Make sure to reset the ecu by doing the paper clip method.

Hey, it's the "Savage" tail tidy off ebay, delivered it was about $50.
I was going to get a new grom until the dealer near me had dealer fees that matched the price of the grom price listed.
I brought my grom for AUD $4,626 rideaway back in January. In NSW still a few available around the that price, add $300 for regional Australia. Awesome bike, worth the money!
do you need a motorcycle license to drive a grom on the road
It might be different in some states, but for the most part you need a motorcycle license/endorsement for riding anything over 50cc's on the road.
In Australia/NSW yes, they are learner legal though so not difficult to get your licence and get riding. Definitely a good bike to learn on as they light and easy to manuvre.

I was after something a little more subtle in terms of looks, it ties in with the silver/black on the bike. If you're after a little more show the Yoshimura RS9T is a good option, good amount of carbon fibre 👌

The 2017-2020 titanium with carbon cap, in my honest opinion, was waaay prettier than this. My previous comment was a general opinion about the product, sorry if It sounded bad.
Hello, have you noticed an increase in engine performance with that exhaust compared to the standard one?
From a stand still ever so slightly, fuel consumption seems to be a little higher around 15% - 25% less kms per tank. Will eventually look a remap if it get too crazy, waiting for the header pipe to arrive still.
