Curious why you took this video in December? What inspired you to drive for an hour to video all of the Palisades?

i live in venice so im right by palisades n dis is crazy lol I loved being in the pali hills and the pali village and it sucks everything burnt down even some of pali high

I fled my home in Altadena on the night of January 7th. I am still in a state of profound grief and disbelief over what happened. Thank you to the person who posted this video. It is extremely moving to see these streets the way I remember them and loved them, instead of the devastation they now exist in. What a gift, to have this memory preserved in video.

This just made me so sad. Saw my mother’s house by Eaton Canyon, which fortunately survived, saw my preschool burned down and many other businesses, landmarks, and homes. Altadena Strong since 1974.😩😢💙🙏🏾

So nostalgic. Wonderful drive. Driven to all those cities so many times. Lived in SoCal and miss it so much. Most wonderful chapter of my life. Met and married my husband there. The love of my life. He went to heaven 4 years ago. This was a bittersweet drive without him. But SO glad we found each other and had 41 amazing years together. Some people never get that opportunity. ❤❤❤😢😊😊

Google maps has updated this whole area to show the fire damage and destroyed homes. Gives s great picture of how extensive this is.

Growing up in the Pacific Palisades and in Malibu in the 1960s through the 1990s, this video brought back memories. Now, both areas were devastated by fire. First Malibu was wiped out in 2018, and now PP is gone. Malibu is still rebuilding. It’ll be years before we see anything like this again. Perfect timing on making this historic record video. Thanks!
