redwoods9999!!!! Thanks for posting this Townshend original. Although the sound isn't quite as good as later copies, It Doesn't Matter. This is a group of great musicians playing their hearts out. Pete's voice is a little more energetic and all the pieces that make this song fitting into a near perfect package.
This is very good but a perfect example of a cover being better than the original. Queensryche brings this great song to a whole new level with Tates haunting vocals and superior music added in
The drummer at 3:09 is incredible. Some of the audience thought: Oh, song's soon over, outro next. ;-) Btw, I cannot stop saying that I never heard such a voice like Lisa's! In love since '80
I'm recalling David Gilmour with an actual solo on this song, called out by Townshend. I see him in another, live version, but just tossing in a few power chords. did I dream this?
Pete Townsend was the Who.
A pedo behind the mic 😆
"WE MUST RACE THE RACE SO WE CAN FACE THE FACE"
One of the greatest songs Ever written Too bad All the band and singers and composers will ever get credit
One of my favorites! Townshend is a Genius.
Them black gals Are the background singers
👵❤
She wrote this
Awesome..she had 3 great albums
Who is on the harmonica?
Well that was just horrible.
Who plays harmonica in the interlude?

Looking at this and the Rage for Order era, Queensryche didn't just cover her song, but her whole style as well
Fun fact: Queensryche planned to have her sing Sister Mary’s parts on Operation: Mindecrime but she declined.
Love it this song 2023
un vrai massacre !!
Wish I could find the ENTIRE vid!!!
I hope she got some good money for that song.

This song is very Bowie to me. Mick Ronson :).
I get exhausted just watching it. it's so good.
Face the Face
Seinfeld is rocking that sax like nobody's business.
Face the Face
What happened to the beginning? It's a mess now.
Simon Phillip's is a great Drummer!!
White city a great rock opera in the tradition of the great Pete Townshend
A feel-good and dance tune.
The drummer at 3:09 is incredible. Some of the audience thought: Oh, song's soon over, outro next. ;-) Btw, I cannot stop saying that I never heard such a voice like Lisa's! In love since '80
way to fuck up a really good video by cutting out the first minute, pitifull epic fail deadwood9999

Amazing. Love it. And Queensryche version too.
This makes me want to dance! I can't dance. Best Trombone solo ever!
Good song - might the performance been fueled by better living through chemistry?
Simon Phillips... 100bpm... Left and right hand double time shuffle.. Damn!!!
Pete= genius
Still like the Queensryche version best but the fact that a chick wrote it is kinda cool.
Masterpiece
Great song for Swing dancing.
1976 AFC and Super Bowl Xi Champion Oakland Raiders!!!! Fred Billetnikoff (#25) - Super Bowl XI MVP!!!!
