My mother made this recipe lots of times while i was growing up. She used pecans instead of Walnuts & no brown sugar. She called it "mystery pie". Chill & top it with Dream Whip, delicious!

I didn't make individual bars when I first made this. Instead I used an ice cream scoop to make pieces the size of truffles. I then used a chocolate fountain to cover them.

When you are going to eat the entire recipe all at once, making individual bars is totally unnecessary.

I made this when one of my doctor's 2nd child was born, although I'm not sure if any of it made it home to the mother and older kid. I suggested to the doc that I could have toasted the coconut and he agreed.

I've been wanting a good recipe for shrimp and soup. My brother and I were just talking about this actually, haha. Thanks for the video, GSK. Ima try this out soon. 🤗🙌

I grew up with delicious Picadillo. My mother's family was from different southern regions in Spain. She always made Picadillo. I used to hate capers as a child (I'd pick them out of my food) but as my taste buds matured, I grew a love for the capers. You must have capers in your Picadillo....or not if you don't like them. There are no "picadillo laws" whatever floats your boat. Add a little here, leave off a little there.....etc...... Don't ever leave out the garlic ! some sugar will cut the acidity just as in spaghetti sauce......may the force be with you all.
