Good looks! I’ll be 7 months the 28th and I’m still learning hella stuff. I started out w/ two strand twist and since my hair on the finer side I know it’s gonna take a spicy min till I lose that pattern. But so far it’s going 🙏. You gotta drop a like do’s and don’t type vid any help is appreciated!

Just using fingers to put your skun care products on your skin. The motion should be upward abd to the outside on the sides and from center to the left or right on the forehead. Lots of pulling and stress is occurring wirh your current application technique. 🤔

Congratulations 🍾🎊 I’m in the process of combing my locs out as well. I wanted to try them and after 15 months, I’m ready to wear my curls again and other protective styles. Having my hair in locs have been great but I’m done now.

I have 46 locs. Started mine on long hair. It was insane. It's only been 2 years, and I'm considering a takedown too. For the same reasons you stated. Not big enough parts on the sides, a too much tention on the edges. And just like your yourself, I haven't used heat in over 5 years. But when I Iwas in Cali, I kept it flat ironed or wavy. I'm glad you did what works for you. I may just get another set after strengthening these edges though. Thank you for sharing this.

I’m 4 years in and I’m still debating on of I should cut them or comb them out just keep them😩

After 12 years, I’m so ready to comb mine out due to postpartum breakage and now pregnant again. They were originally down to my knees, but I get them to butt length, so it’ll be easier on my arms.

Taking out my locs after 1 yr lord it's been about 8 hrs and I'm about 65% through

I only feel feminine with a retwist lol 😂. I’m 16 month into my loc journey and there’s some decent hanging but not enough to really style it easily. I’ve been working on stretching the retwists to every 3-4 months and I be looking homeless 24/7. It hurts my feelings sometimes 😂😭 I can make them look sporty cute on some occasions though💪🏾✨

Keeping mines in till 2027 my hair was back length and BC I burned it blow dried it heavily damaged I comb it ruff I legit cut past my dead hair now it's ear length I started over BC mental hair break down I did like the two strand twist I'm one month in untill I get that back length again then il take my locs down so can't wait to see it in 2027
