A lot of trees been harvested off this trail. look at all that slash. Interesting to hear you talk and breathe as you get to higher altitude. Sure, you have been working towards it, but it is noticeable. Back in the area where trees are tall you can complete a sentence without catching your breath.

At least you were smart enough to ignore much of the ADT.

I am a Trump supporter as well but I do trust God. God at first gave King Saul who was later replaced by King David. I would hate to see you end your hike if something awful like that happened. I am a bit dismayed at times when people elevate Trump to near Messiah level. He is a man I happen to like in spite of his rough speech and demeanour. I hope our nation will have the chance for a bit of prosperity and peace. I believe Trump can do that. Not without God’s help. God can make America great again. He made it great in the first place.

The part with the trolley is over by the Broncos stadium. You can kind of see Meow Wolf ahead and across the river. I don't know why this guy doesn't show us around by turning the camera to the left or right. Does this mean you're not going the Morrison-Evergreen-Idaho Springs way? The Bear Creek route after Morrison is literally what i was watching for. Thats disappointing. Have fun on your endeavors.

I am confused why they didn’t route the Discovery Trail through the Colorado Trail? The actual route comes about a mile from it?

That last name is pronounced "vee-hill"

South Platte Trail becomes Bear Creek trail near town of Sheridan. There's a sign at the junction we're the north and south ADT meet back up at the junction of South Platte and Bear Creek trails.

You're so close to getting to the back country. We're going to hike part of the trail somewhere between Guenella Pass and Evergreen on Sunday. We can only do day hikes right so we're living vicariously through you. Keep it up the fun is about to begin!!

So glad you shared this footage. My husband and I lived in the Needles district and the Maze district of Canyonlands NP. in 1975. He was a ranger. I remember walking down to the Colarado and watching the rafts go by from the Maze. You guys are sooo lucky!

I've repaired a lot of straps and seams with upholstery thread and scrap denim. I don't carry it in the pack, but I'm home every day. I've never seen water that color. Cool canyon. Looks more interesting then most of Iowa and Nebraska.

Yay Colorado! Prayers for cooler temperatures at higher elevations. Smart move on the water carry. Locating water sources takes a lot of time.
