Hello Marshall, I've been following your channel -- specifically this hike -- and I'm about two months behind, but plan to watch all to the end. Since I'm so far behind I don't make many comments, but when I heard your closing "political" comment on this episode I thought I'd share here something I posted elsewhere on social media after President Trump was shot. ***** ***** I may not be a Trump supporter, but am thankful that President Trump's injuries were minor and wish him the best for his treatment and recovery. No matter who you may support, let us all agree. Ballots; not bullets. Voices; not violence. ***** ***** I urge us one and all as Americans to express our differences at the ballot box realizing that the most important part of being American is our creation of local community and the nurturing of the bonds of our mutual affection -- a polity in which party politics should end at the water's edge. (Sometimes this is easy to forget for we Californians given the size of our state.) I'm happy you continued your hike. Treks such as yours and your efforts to share them with us all regardless of which side of a ballot paper you choose to mark are a badly needed, unifying influence. Thank you for bringing us all along, and I see you have reached Lake Tahoe. Congratulations! Just a little more to go. Be safe; keep at it!
