Thank you for your kind words! I would say it's not so much that it's difficult to read as that it's a different style of writing compared to modern texts. If you're hesitant, you can always try watching a movie adaptation before jumping into the book, which is actually what I did before reading Pride & Prejudice for the first time!

I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! And really, the Edgar Allan Poe book is HUGE. After finishing it, I realized I fell into the group of people who feel that Poe's popular works tend to be very good while his more obscure works remain that way for a reason (i.e. most of them are so boring XD).

Hi! I was actually worried about this same thing when I got the Dasung but I've had no problems with using the mouse and I don't notice any lag when using it - you can change the refresh settings on the monitor as well and this will affect how fast the cursor moves if I remember correctly (I haven't played around with it since I initially set up my monitor). Maybe the 13" has something similar that you could try? I will note that while I don't notice any lag at all when just using the monitor, if I happen to open up my laptop and compare the speed of the cursor movement between the monitor and my MacBook, the movement is definitely faster on the MacBook, although again, it's not a noticeable difference when actually using the monitor by itself (plus maybe if I increased the refresh rate on the monitor the cursor speed might catch up even when viewing the two screens side by side). I hope this answer helps a bit!

This version does not have backlight, which I actually love because the light/brightness of the typical laptop screen is something that my eyes really hate!

I really hope these kinds of monitors become more affordable in the coming years!!

The last time I coded was several months ago but yeah I guess this is only a good device for coders who don’t use or need the color coding very much (or who are okay with that inconvenience due to bad eye strain headaches)? Although I’m sure the contrast isn’t perfect, I love watching videos on this thing and really enjoy using it at home in place of my personal laptop. I will note however that nowadays I primarily only use it on days when I have a bad headache (I swear using this with a headache gets rid of the whole headache in a few hours). And also when I’m just in a matte, black and white mood lol. For people who need the color but also have bad headaches, I’d recommend either getting a large, matte screen monitor (not e-ink) or putting a matte screen protector on your laptop and other digital devices. [So to actually answer your question: from my own perspective, I think it boils down to 1) people who get headaches for staring at the screen for too long, and 2) people who just think the monitor is really cool and think using it would be a really novel experience!]

I haven’t tried this with an IDE but I believe there are other videos out there that show that, including videos by Dasung, I think. Typing on an IDE should work just like typing on Word though; I don’t believe there would be any problems.

It should work with an IDE just fine, although you will likely lose a lot of your syntax highlighting due to the lack of color.

I definitely think the Dasung is a big help with eye strain and eye strain headaches. I don’t use the Dasung as much as I did when I first got it because I’m used to laptops more than monitors and also I guess color is too appealing lol, but whenever I get an eye strain headache I head straight to the Dasung and it’s so relieving.

@@preethiwashere would you sell it to me? for very low price, i use my pc in gray scale cuz i can't handle colors anymore. this seems like a great solution for me.

@Chop Labalagun Sorry if you misunderstood: I love my Dasung very much and don't plan on selling it. But yes it sounds like it could be a great solution for you!

I think there’s a fair amount of clicking the button to clear ghosting regardless of whether you’re using light or dark mode. I think the only benefit of using light mode with the Dasung is that you can see things a bit more clearly.
