The game kinda has an intended path so if you get to a point where regular enemies are dealing heavy damage while you barely damage them, then you are better of going somewhere else. Also prioritize upgrading weapon before your stats. Whip then Blood katana for dexterity builds, great ethereal blade for strength can carry you for the whole game.

some bosses arnt immune to stat effects but most are unfortunatly, still tho slight damage boost feels nice sometimes

Thanks...yeah mic is at the top of the list of things to get, but for now I'm gonna have to work with what i have unti I can afford one.

No it's much easier than hollow knight and has the feel of a JRPG even though it's a metroidvania.

It took me about 5 hours of losing to this guy before I finally decided to grind about 20 levels. After I came back, I beat him on the 4th try. It helps to take a breather for a day or two....try to find some hidden items you missed, maybe do a couple side quests, and come back with a fresh mind after you've allowed some of the frustration to subside. You'll get there.

@@GeeshiGaming Thanks. I re-allocated my stats towards a blood build using the Rift of Blood. I beat the Starlight Beast of Illygarth and The Burned Apostle. The transformation changed my mood for sure. I went around the map exploring old areas for hidden paths. I got new weapons and magic. Its paying off for sure. Still not ready for Manfredd but I'm getting there.

@@redfoxxx9997 The Burnt Apostle is in The Liturgical Pass. You need The Propulsion Boots for your air dashes. The Pass is located in the Site Cave.

Wow I never noticed it gives an approximate time lol. It seemed kind of random other than when the conditions say "swift storm". Auto Parker is cool, but you don't really need it. I prefer to keep a gas tank and a battery in the back seats.

@@GeeshiGaming i also keep battery and gas but when i played the game on steam deck the autoparker was great because it was awkward to park the car with bumpers and stick

Yeah dude I write out and then edit and rewrite the script for all of my reviews. They usually end up being like 8-10 pages.

It totally works but it's just such a boring way to go IMO.

Dude I know exactly how you feel. For the record, this is probably the hardest boss in the game....plus the reward for completing this fight (double jump) makes it totally worth it once you finally get there.

Maybe they have fixed the issues at this point, but I played this game when it firs came out and there were a lot of issues with map markers not showing up and clearing, doors not opening and closing when they should of, areas that I didn't yet have the abilities to leave being accessible when they shouldn't have been, map markers not appearing and clearing when they should have, and more. I'd be willing to give it a second chance and see if the issues were taken care of, but the state that thus game was in when I played it was a total mess.

I wouldn't go that far, but I definitely liked it. My favorite game would be a tie between hollow knight and bioshock infinite.

@@GeeshiGaming My favorites are 1. Bloodborne/The Last Faith can't really decide and before those would be titanfall 2, monster hunter world iceborne, and blasphemous 2 in no particular order

it used to be r1 + l1. They changed it with the most recent patch. Excellent ability for closing out boss fights when they are down to about 10% of their HP. When you are in monster form, the dodge control will teleport you across the screen instead of doing a dodge roll. it's pretty sweet!@@ricardolibrosycomics5005

Generally it’s a pretty linear game. You could explore later game areas, good luck though.

I don't play a lot of survival games. I'm more into Platformers, RPG's and everything in between the two. I looked up Pacific Drive last night though and it looked like something I might enjoy. I'm going to start playing it later today.@@PYC4985

@@PYC4985 ok so I think I'm actually going to stream myself playing Pacific Drive. I'm realizing that if I want this channel to go anywhere I should probably show my face every once in a while. Not sure if I'm going to do it on here or twitch yet, but if you're interested, just keep an eye out. I have to finish playing/reviewing the mobius machine (just came out on friday), so I'm probably actually going to start the Pacific Drive playthrough sometime next weekend. Will definitely review when finished too.

Brawler build? not my style personally but it can deal a lot of damage. I prefer speed over strength myself.

@@GeeshiGaming I only had to focus on leveling up str and vit, peace of mind. Did try a second playthrough with whip, had a harder time until I got stuck on the giant bat that rains down dark meteors and quit the game.

With the high dex build, I honestly just kept the nightfall blade equipped for probably 2/3 of the game. It's surprisingly powerful when fully upgraded with a high dex. Do you remember which 2 weapons you used the most with the strength build?@@tzzeek

@@GeeshiGaming starter one until I found an axé, soon after I found the big one I mentioned, I think it's ethereal blade, and just loved that one, figured I'duse it until I got a more badass armement since It was c class but as I upgraded it, it went up to s class. The power attack did it for me, soomersault and area of effect with a secondaire move that shoots stones, huge damage, and all the time invincible while doing it, got me through à lot of annoying boss attacks like the météorites and laddak crescent moon crimson death attacks.

​​@@tzzeek i was running the game with dex and focus build, when fighting the giant bat, i just used the flamme pills on the whip and used its special move to rain fire uppon him. Drainded his HP super fast.
