Almond Butter Biscuits.Cooking with Lisa.
These super easy and delicious almond butter biscuits are the perfect bite-sized treats to have on hand ready to enjoy with a nice cuppa. They also make a wonderful gift for friends, family or colleagues.
The original recipe comes from my mother in law Talia Goldberg, and was first published in Now for Something Sweet in 2020.
RECIPE
60 g raw almonds
225 g (1 1/2 cups) plain (all-purpose) flour
60 g (1/4 cup) caster (superfine) sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
100 g unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 egg yolk
40 ml (2 tablespoons) oil
Preheat the oven to 160℃ . Line a large baking tray.

Actually the traditional shape of Kreplach are triangles, they are often served on Purim and the triangle like hamentashen are the way they are traditionally made. Some say the three sides are for the Patriarchs, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, others say it is shaped like Haman's hat.

I add coffee and soak tea bags in the hot water for. colour. Having made this cake for decades, I came to the conclusion that a cup of sugar is not necessary when you’re using a jar of honey.

Hey Suze, no I didn't. I use a brand called Moredough which I find great for soups like this. You could also use a powdered stock (Massell is ok) or your own home made veggie or chicken stock.

I enjoyed your podcast. Learned some things - 1) like cooking mine much longer than I usually do, 2) throwing the parmesan rind in much earlier in the process and 3) allowing the beans to cook for a long while. Here are several things I do with my minestrone that others might want to try. 1) I throw in a few springs of rosemary 2) after the minestrone has cooked, i puree a few cupfuls in the blender and return them to the soup (highly recommended) 3) I cook some elbow macaroni (separately) and serve the soup on top of the macaroni.
