My people are so ghetto it's so sad to see this.. it's a shame how my beautiful country is turning out
Muy bonito ese camino me gusta
I am looking to move there as my work will be in two hills , if any accommodation options available kindly let me know it will be helpful for me . Thanks
Hello, Yes Two Hills is close to Vegreville. What type of work will you be doing in Two Hills, what will be the job I'm curious?
Useful video
I always ask the same question regarding the green spaces but I noticed it also depends on the neighborhood. I asked my grandma this question and she told me that if the land is limited and too expensive people are not going to prioritize spaces for yards and backyard. Also if I’m not mistaken the land in Santo Domingo tend to be more expensive compared to the rest of the country so that could be a a factor. But I know the are some neighborhoods in S.D and S.D.E. that have houses with bigger green spaces and slightly more spread apart.
What you say makes a lot of sense. If land is more expensive & limited you'd try to prioritize the main property & living spaces
Very sporadic and discombobulated.
Seems quiet there and no traffic
Nice town 😊
Indeed it is. Thanks for watching!
Grew up not far from there in Vermilion AB, seems the town has grown since I was last there
Shockingly similar to some colombian neighborhoods
Yea, I'd say a lot of Latin America is overall very similar, with few exceptions. Thanks for watching

Is this close to resorts?
No, this is in Santo Domingo Este (East). The resorts are about 2hrs east of there in Punta Cana area
40 k over is like 20 miles over. You telling me that people don't go 75 miles per hour I'm a highway in America that says 55. Please answer
why does it look like it's in southeast asia
awesome que bueno señor lmfao
Very nice drive thru ❤ DR
People crack me up trying to suggest Dominicans don’t drive the way they want, it’s not your country, point blank! And the DR isn’t no more corrupt than America , Canada 🇨🇦 and Britain 🇬🇧 . And America say they’re the greatest country on the planet but have the worst food filled with chemicals and the most corrupt police officers in the world, and they treat black people with so much disrespect! That’s great right 🤷🏾😂
Driving in DR is a freaking headache, people just do whatever on the road.
Just left there yesterday and I always forget that you have to be a different type of driver in order to drive in DR. I still get a mini heart attack when my dads drives. Like sir Si tu odias la tuya entoces aya tu ! Let me live 🤣🤣
Houses are similar to middle class Jamaican houses, except we'd have a bit more yard space and higher walls lol
16:18 16:20 Does this white car have a license plate?
I was there in February,I love the culture,I give it to the drivers though, I saw one accident, amazing by the way Dominicans drive, and get this,no road rage😂,if I had to drive there, I would be in a accident, because you have to be used to the way they drive 😮😮
The Place has lots to offer, especially when it comes to its natural beauty & its culture (music, dances, food & customs), but yes traffic & road safety definitely isn't something to take lightly over there. Per capita it's statistically the most dangerous in the world.
@michaelallen825 i'm glad for you to say that out of your words that's awesome and i will give you an (A+) lmfao
😅ii9ou773euk❤❤
Stumbled across your channel - you seem to be very negative in general about DR. Why do you live there? given that you speak English I assume you should be able to migrate?? just curious.
Hey, thanks for commenting. You likely haven't watched enough of my videos if you're of the opinion that I'm "generally negative about the DR". I most often highlight the positive the Dominican has to offer in most of my videos; the one thing you'll hear me criticize on a regular basis is the traffic in DR, which has been ranked #1 for roadway deaths for a couple years in a row now, which as a dual Dominican-Canadian citizen & having lived in the DR before I'm not only allowed to, but have the knowledge & experience to do. It concerns me. Criticizing the bad in something in a constructive way, in hopes it one day improves doesn't make you "generally negative" towards it, especially if you fairly also highlight the positive, which I consistently do. Probably a good idea to watch a couple more videos before forming an opinion. In any case, thanks again for commenting.
Estan re jugando, que idiota el titulo!
They're playing!!!😂
But the problem is ITS NOT SNOWING 😂
No, not quite. Maybe in Constanza lol
You wanna know what shitty traffic is, just drive in Inwood- Washington Heights in NYC . NYC is a third world country place as it is!! BTW DR is AMAZING…
Thanks for your comment! DR is indeed amazing. Do not mistake my criticism of it's not so great things, including the traffic, as a general disapproval of the entire country. I often highlight the positive things on this channel as well. But as Dominicans we must admit traffic is chaotic in Santo Domingo & Santiago. Statistically the most dangerous country to drive in: dominicantoday.com/dr/local/2023/07/29/the-dominican-republic-ranks-first-in-traffic-accident-fatalities/

Hello, 🐦🐦🐦🦜🦜🦜🐨🐨🐨May I share an Old Testament Verse with you from Daniel 7:14 "And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a Kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should SERVE Him; his dominion is an Everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom shall not pass away, and His Kingdom that which shall not be destroyed." God the Father loves you so much that He sent Holy Sinless Jesus (His Holy Son) to earth to be born of a virgin. Then, to grow up and die on a cross for our sins. He was in the tomb for 3 days, then Father God raised Holy and Sinless Jesus Christ (Y'shua) to Life! He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must receive Sinless Jesus sincerely to be God's child(John 1:12).After we get saved by grace through faith in Christ, if we truly love the Lord Jesus Christ, then we will obey Jesus(John 14:15). Mark 1:15 "And saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: Repent ye, and believe the gospel." Jesus said in John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. "There's a real hell. It says in Revelation 21:8 "But for the cowardly, & unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, & immoral persons sorcerers & idolaters & all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire & brimstone..." Please sincerely receive Holy Jesus and put your true faith and trust in Him today and please repent. Will you have a Real encounter with Holy Lord Jesus (Y'shua is His Hebrew Name) and stay in a Genuine relationship with Him daily please?
Great job!
Nice video
JHONNY PACHECO
I think it was Trujillo the dictator who named 3 avenues with American presidents names. He wanted to be in good standing with the US. Those names should be changed.
No one cares
@TheRoadAheadYT To say that “Maximo Gomez is respected in Cuba as much as here …(in the DR)” is not knowing much about the DR history. It's important to note that the perception of Maximo Gomez varies between Cuba and the Dominican Republic due to historical context. In the Dominican Republic, Maximo Gomez is often remembered for his role in fighting against the Dominican independence movement, which killed thousands of Dominicans, as he was originally part of the Spanish Army carrying out atrocities against the people of the Island. Many Dominicans learn about this aspect of his life in their history classes, which shapes their view of him. IF you were to ask an Educated Dominican, I highly doubt they'd have nice things to say about Maximo Gomez, and naming that street after him was very controversial at the time by the Educated Middle Class in the City. If you were to ask any kid coming out of a private Bachillerato what they thought about Maximo Gomez, they probably wouldn't have too many pleasant things to say. It is true that he is celebrated by the lower class (the least Educated Dominicans) as that's not something taught in public schools here. In contrast, he is celebrated in Cuba for his contributions to their independence from Spain. So, the sentiment toward Maximo Gomez can be quite different depending on where you are and what part of his life you're focusing on. It's always enlightening to consider multiple perspectives when discussing historical figures. So being “as respected in Cuba as much as here” is quite a stretch. But the reason this monument and street exist today was as a good will gesture to the Nation of Cuba, which helped us fight Trujillo's Dictatorship and both Haitian and American Invasions, respectively. Good video though, hope this doesn't sound negative. Keep up the good work!
Not negative at all man, I appreciate constructive criticism & corrections where due. I stand corrected in the fact that perceptions about Maximo Gómez do vary from island to island. I'm going to educate myself further on this topic. Thanks again for commenting!
I think Saona beach is more beautiful than Bahia de las Águilas but it's just my subjective opinion, nice video!!!
I wanna visit Saona soon, I hear it's insane how beautiful it is out there. Bahía de las Águilas is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world without a doubt, I hope it stays mostly virgin & they don't let the private sector build resorts right at the beach like in Punta Cana, it would negatively impact the eco systems. Turistic development in the south would be good for the local economy, just not right at the beach hopefully.
@@PablosOnTheRoad fortunately Saona island is located within a national park we'll see it stunning landscape while we live!! Also Bahia de las Águilas is 🏖️🌴🌴
Doing a good job, I am Dominican and won’t dare to drive in the capital 😮
It really gets hectic out there, especially during rush hour, never a dull moment in Santo Domingo!
Thanks for the video, I’m from ensanche la Fé, this video brings many happy memories to me! Thank you brother, good job narrating!
Thank you for watching & commenting. I really appreciate it 🙏🏽
Yo, just because you're Dominican doesn't mean you get to talk about Santo Domingo. The video is just one comment full of ignorance. If you love it, stop talking shit about it like you actually pay taxes over there cause you don't.
This must be the most presumptuous, ill-advised, premature & ignorant comment I have read in the entire time I have been running this channel 🤦🏾♂️ For one, you don't know me or where I live, you're clearly assuming I live in the US, more specifically east or west coast, while if you took an extra minute to find out that I actually live in Canada as it shows in my profile picture & I often mention in my videos. Never mind the fact that Canada (where I actually live) has one of the best traffic laws & traffic safety performances in the entire continent & world, as a born Dominican I ALSO highlight, CONSTANTLY, the positive that DR has to offer. I reiterate, CONSTANTLY. Often talking about the wealth of resources the DR possesses, the countless cultural contributions it makes to Latin America & the world as well as it's hard-working people. Another point, I actually complimented the street vendors, mentioning how in the DR they at least sell you something & try to earn a living that way as opposed to in North America where they simply ask for money for the hell of it. So you either didn't watch the video completely before running your mouth or you simply don't speak English very well. Here's a little advice: Next time you want to leave an ignorant, negative comment at least watch the entire video so you don't risk looking idiotic like you just did. Un consejo de gratis, manito ✌🏽
21:02 He's actually talking positively about the people selling things in the street. He says street vendors in DR are better than beggers in the US who only asks for money, but in DR they actually try to sell something to earn a living. Did you even watch the video? lol 😂
Thank you! Someone who actually watched the whole video. Much appreciated 👍🏽
At 25:10 too, you literally talk positively about those guys & said you appreciate them. I don't understand where he got that you are talking negatively about the street vendors
