That’s got to be one of the dirtiest air filters on a chainsaw that I’ve ever seen
Suppose I had better clean it again! 😂
Hey I know that dog ❤
In 44 years of playing with chainsaws, Nothing stops a saw with the throttle pulled wide open! Its is a one way clutch! Your chaps wont help you at all and dont make up lies! 44 years and all I have gotten 2 nicks in my jeans next to my ankles.
@brandogeberbin7563 thanks for watching!
@@CrickhollowfarmsThere’s always 1🙄😂
They worked for me 🤷🏻♂️
@@daveyslogging Guess we did it wrong😉
Makes a great gift too
@@Hestia51 sure does! Even after Christmas!
Rockin' those assless chaps... ;) Thank you for this, just got a chainsaw this Christmas for hurricane prep, good tips, thank you!
Awesome Christmas present! Best to be safe with good gear!
Gotta love them old farmalls... subscribed

I stumbled across your video and because I'm a fan of Farmalls I clicked on your video. You started up the tractor and from the sound I told my wife that's gotta be a 706. 😆 they have their own sound. Dad has one also here in Wisconsin. Nice splitter. That's gotta burn some fuel.
@jeffbaker7547 it sure is a 706! She looks rough, but has good bones... someday I'll get her pretty again. I just keep adding gas... and don't over think it. 😄 Thanks for watching!
@barnstormer3533 always been around Farmalls growing up. I just purchased a new tractor this past Spring. I really wanted a Farmall however in the compact world I found LS makes the Farmalls and the LS was $6000 less for the same tractor I went with the blue LS MT242HC. At my age the heat and air conditioning is fantastic especially living in west central Wisconsin. I'm going to subscribe. Great video.
I do!
Love the sound of the horses eating their hay quietly in the cold morning!
@Hestia51 sometimes it's the small things in life you just need to take the time to notice and appreciate!
This splitter seems to be very high. Have you considered parking a trailer under the splitter to catch the firewood as it's being split?
@@JS-ek8zo yes. Excellent idea.... I will try it and see how it goes.
Interesting wood splitter. I'm on the fence with 3 point splitters. Love the idea of having the splitter at a good height...save on the back. But still seems like a lot of horse to run a splitter....even with diesel, seems like it would cost more to run than a 5 hp stand alone unit. Love seeing the 706.
@CarlAwe-m4f the 706 likes chugging gas, yes, but I don't really rev the engine much... it's a no ear plugs required splitting event. Adjusting the height to suit my comfort is huge... no tripping on the splitter frame, only the split pile which can be avoided by pulling the tractor forward. Thanks for watching!
You've got one of those high HP splitters too.👍. Mines usually 75 sometimes 95. Normally run it on a JD 2750. Oh, yours is pto, mines run w tractor hydraulics. Wayne county here
@@brandonhoad9033 nice to meet you from a couple counties over! You should post a video of your JD and splitter!

👍👍 Very nice video! I really like the night shots as I have never stayed there after dark I drove tram for two years about ten years ago and it definitely gives you a different perspective on how people (don't) pay attention to their surroundings. You captured both my wife and I wandering around the Car Show on Sunday. What do you use for a camera? I have added a link to this video in the description of my video of the Steam Show. Don
@donaldjarvis9478 Thanks for watching and the feedback! I will check out your video for sure! Cameras... gopro hero 10 for the Tram shots ( before it quit on me. Working on a replacement now) and my Samsung s23 ultra (Phone) for everything else. (It actually has a really nice camera built in) Next year perhaps we'll camp and get the full night time experience... it's definitely a neat vibe! I'll look for you in my car show bit. Cheers!
Love that tractor and the driver!
You make me blush! :)
gota love these old machines. They just don't make them like they used to.
Very nice barn and it looks better with an M in it too
Is that hand crank you have a homemade one or is it original
I know the original ones for the narrow front M’s were smaller, but the wide front M’s were longer
@deepsouth-piddlin Thank you for your comments and interest in the video. It's actually an H, not an M, though I'd love to add an M to the lineup. The hand crank is one I purchased, probably from Steiner though I cannot recall. The peg it mates with on the front of the tractor broke off so I welded a bar to it and drilled a new hole. It sticks out further than the original, but gets the job done.
M-tronic?
No. It doesn't have the mtronic technology. Just a regular fuel system, no electronic control
@@Crickhollowfarmsdid you remove the mtronic or is that you bought it new?
@perkypat2214 this is the MS 261, not the MS 261 C-M. Apparently, the basic MS 261 isn't available in all markets, so depending on where you're located, you may be limited.

Is the splitter pto driven?
PTO driven hydraulic pump. The splitter has independent hydraulics from the tractor. So, yes.
Nice video Rich!
Thanks! 😀
Love this video! Miss those days at the farm.
I bet the guy filming owns a jeep.
Great memories captured. Great roads (sometimes LOL). Love the scenery. Going to look for day 6 now. Oh yeah *New Sub*
Log-o-rhythm. We had an A growing up. Later on, I wished everything started as reliably and easily as that tractor.
Someday you are going to want a remote start on that tractor. The kind that you set on the seat and push a button. Firewood always warms you twice. Nice video.
Enjoyed the video. Looks like epic fun! I served in the Air Force with Jeff's brother. His brother and I have met several times in Daytona Beach for Bike Week and Biketoberfest.
Ride on
Awesome
Great job!
