My stroke was 21 months ago! Today is my 69 th birthday and this RUclips video has come to what I have thought about my vision loss in quadrants top right side and I know my vision has gotten so much better just from time and new glasses from other vision issue which I’m now understanding is some vision brightness. I don’t like and not being able to see someone’s right side of their face if the bright white is behind them and I’m looking straight at themI have known comprehended this myself, but no one has ever believed me. I want to thank you for all you’ve done in this video about vision issues with your stroke.! I am in Vancouver Island, British Columbia, and have no idea where there would be a therapy here to help me. What information may you have? I will probably try to telephone you next week as speaking is easier with aphasia than trying to print the languages into sentences that will make the same sense. Thank you very much for your video.!!!❤

Again very limited açess to centers and professionals capable of diagnosing and treating those with abnormal brain connectivity, much professional ignorance about these conditions , but many persons suffering in limbo

Still, the reference to”These Patients” throughout this talk is at the heart of the problem, a stigma, a slight, can patients with FND not be referred to as “patients“? The doctor, a leader in his field is setting the tone.

It's sad that there seems to be a lot of treatment centres in the Uk and the US but very few if any in Canada. What treatment we do have is so expensive and widespread that it is mostly inaccessible. I got my diagnosis and then was really left hanging.

Good explanation. But what to do? I had a stroke in BG. Then FND hit me hard. Everyone sees only the stroke.

Thank you for a very informative talk. I lost my ability to walk soon after my 1st Astra-zen jab over two years ago and have been diagnosed finally with FND. If this untested vax is a contributory factor sadly the world is going to see a huge spike in this debilitating condition.

... He was actually talking about the NOCEBO EFFECT in relation to the covid vaccines. This literally meant that no medical adverse side effects were observed. This is literally evidencing that being 'informed' about potential negative side effects explained their adverse anecdotes, not that the vaccines themselves actually did any damage whatsoever. Pay attention. You do realise that FNDs are 'functional' disorders, in the sense that there's no structural damage or disease underlying their symptoms. Structural disorders, like MS, cause literal.damage to body structures, such as the brain and spinal cord. The fact that you have FND means that there's no medical/structural cause underlying your symptoms. On scan, there'd be no abnormalities, no biomarkers, no literal signs of damage or disease - because it is FUNCTIONAL. Covid vaccines did not do this, please for the love of whatever, drop the anti-vax crap.

My now 18 yr old daughter suffered a stroke after being diagnosed with a CVST when she was 15. Our PCP said she had an ear infection and started her on antibiotics. She was brought to the ER after worsening bad headache. Discovered the clot turned into a bleed. Transferred to Ped hospital where she was put on Heparin. She wound up herniating due to increased pressure. They didn’t monitor ICP and never repeated a CT. Resulting in blindness and hemiplegia. We have no answers to if she was treated correctly since there isn’t a lot of studies.

This was very helpful in understanding a disorder that my girlfriend’s 15 y/o daughter is going through right now. The lack of answers has been the greatest challenge of in their ability to deal with it. Thanks again
